Audiomechanic 06-08-2006, 08:49 PM I just bought a really good CD. How do I get the songs from the CD to my iPod Shuffle? I can't import the songs! Hell, using iTunes, I can't even PLAY them!
:willy: :cursin:
I don't wanna spread the CD all over the web, just to my friggin iPod so I can listen will riding to work.
itgirl25 06-08-2006, 09:14 PM trash the ipod and get a sandisk mp3 player. i have one and love it! it needs no special software. i just drag and drop my files right onto it. i pity anyone that doesn't have one. it's literally that simple. sorry i can't help you more than that.
PS what was this good cd you bought? and why are you buying a cd when you have an mp3 player? i no longer pay for music, ever.
Audiomechanic 06-08-2006, 09:22 PM I probly shoulda. Well, It's 100 bucks so I don't wanna just throw it away. It works great for everything except this. :cursin:
The cd is Casting Crowns - Life Song (it's "God" music :bonk: But I'm a God lovin kinda cat).
jtemple 06-08-2006, 09:24 PM A lot of the new CDs have a little exe file on them that you can run. That will give you an interface that will allow you to rip the songs onto your computer (most likely in wma format). Once you have them in that format, there are several ways to get them into mp3 format, if that's what you want. I do have an iPod, but I hate iTunes, so I'm not familiar with what audio formats it will support.

apple stuff is supposed to be user friendly. i am surprised they made this so hard to operate (but i am technologically challenged).
i'll hafta give that music a listen. ain't nothin' wrong with lovin' God. not too many people will admit to that. everyone can use a little faith in something. i'm with ya there. :dthumb:
Audiomechanic 06-08-2006, 09:36 PM Nevermind. I just figured it out. I'm just a moron. And I'm a computer tech for a living! I'm getting fired. :(
Anyway, check out the song "Praise you in this storm" on that album. It's an awesome song!
Back _Marker 06-08-2006, 10:03 PM yeah, that's pretty bad. Audiomechanic that cannot rip a song (ms mediaplayer) and download a free ipod transfer application (yamipod) off the web.

I like itunes. then again I haven't bought a CD in quite a while. but I haven't had a problem importing the CD's I do own.
Audiomechanic 06-09-2006, 05:51 PM I had "Error checking" clicked in the settings. For some reason that was casuing the problem. Unchecking that fixed it.
