In a public bathroom stall, a man is chatting away. I assumed he was on a cell phone. He walks out, while washing up, he starts to chat more. I thought he was talking to me and replied.:bonk: I love my Blue Tooth but don't use it in public. It gets confusing.

Yeah, I think it looks quite stupid to be walking around in public with the headset on. I think it's a great idea in the car as the wired kind always gets in the way. But I don't think you'll catch me walking around in public with a headset on.

I hate people who walk around with those things on their heads... like "I'm so important, I may need to take a call at any moment" Although, when I want to screw around, I'll put my non-bluetooth handsfree in my ear, and just start bitching people out to their face, and be like "ohh... sorry, I'm on the phone"... but there really isn't even a phone in my pocket :D

yeah, you totally look like a douche if you wear your bluetooth in public. I don't really use mine anymore because of that reason.

I know one thing, I left my phone at home accidentally when I went up to the gap this weekend, even though there is little to no signal strength up there, it made the weekend better not having to worry about checking voicemail, text messages, and all the other crap that comes with technology (it also seriously pissed off my girlfriend who worried about me all weekend if I was dead or not, yeah I am in a lot of trouble for that one.) I still miss those days of not having to worry about anything other than whats going on around you when you were a kid.

I use mine in public and don't care. Everyone thinks I'm a little "off" anyway. I aughta try just putting my hand up to my face in that "phone symbol" and talk into my thumb. Gonna try that tomorrow and see how it works.

I couldn't use my bluetooth earset the entire time I was at the Gap over the weekend because there is no signal, but ya know what...I was on vacation, and I enjoyed not talking to anyone on the phone, and worring about checking voicemail!!! Although I sure did use the bluetooth a hell ofa lot on the 10 hour drive home though.

:iagree: 30 second clips might not be enough tho. if the phone uses a flash card like mine does it can take longer than 30 seconds, however if I record directly to the phone memory 30 seconds is all I get.

I only use mine when I'm driving or working with both hands. The other day I forgot that I had it on (I wasn't using it at the time) and walked into a store, about 10 min later I noticed some girl smirking at me and realized that I had forgotten it on my ear. I was so embarrased and felt like a tool the rest of the day since I've seen people just wearing them as "accessories" to their wardrobe...I wanted to go back tell the girl (and anyone else) that saw me with it on "I swear I'm really not that guy!"

I have blue tooth too and I like messing with people... I'll walk around talking to KP then if I see someone staring I look right at them and ask them " what kinda underwear you wearing? You got them thongs on that I like soo much? " LMFAO! well they stop looking then. Once I was walking out and I called KP and was like hey, how are you? this guy walking in stopped and said fine and yourself LOL he thought I was trying to talk to him.

I try to only have it on when I'm using it and that is rarely in public!

Usually when we get really annoyed we start an office wide intercom party to make fun of him. I will call up the guy in my cube, and then everyone else will hear and call to join the telecon. We will have like 10 people all within 30 feet of each other all on the same telecon. He usually gets the hint and picks up his phone so we don't have to hear his BS.
