OMAHA -- The game times and pairings for the first two days of the Men's College World Series have been announced. The 60th MCWS will be played at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha from June 16-25/26. The double-elimination tournament features the winners of the eight super regionals, and includes seven teams that did not make it to Omaha last year. It is the second time since 1991 that as many as seven schools were not part of the field the previous year. The first game on Friday is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. CST and features No. 8 seed Georgia Tech (50-16) and Atlantic Coast Conference rival No. 1 seed Clemson (52-14). Friday's second game at 6 p.m. pits North Carolina (50-13) and No. 5 seed Cal St. Fullerton (48-13). The doubleheader on Saturday features No. 7 Georgia (47-21) squaring off against No. 2 Rice (55-11) at 1 p.m., and Miami (Fla.) (41-22) is taking on the lone 2005 MCWS participant Oregon St. (44-14) at 6 p.m. The losers of Friday's two games will play one another at 1 p.m. on Sunday, while Friday's winners face off at 6 p.m. Sunday. The losers of Saturday's games will play each other at 1 p.m. on Monday, while Saturday's winners meet Monday at 6 p.m. The winners of the two brackets will play a best-of-three championship series, with the first game set for 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 24. The second game is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, while the third and deciding game (if necessary) is slated for 6 p.m. on Monday, June 26. LSU missed getting a regional for the first time in 18 years. Smoke and staff is fired. Top 2 canidates dont want the job. CWS just hurts to watch this year.

I guess we are the only 2 here that like college baseball. I was hoping that LSU would make it. They had a good tea, this year.

LSU didnt do BAD under Laval but their post season play has been sub par. Its time to change things anyway... new park with a new coach and staff. Bertman said if it came to it, he'd coach till another was found.

ok 99bird, who you got> North Carolina vs Oregon St. I pulling for oregon state because they had argueably the more difficult time getting there. Beating Miami, and rice twice i elemination games.
