here's the link for this year's bike week at gettysburg. it is july 6-9. the only downside to this event is that it coincides with the civil war reenactment this year. they moved the reenactment from this weekend to next due to the rain and soggy ground conditions. so that means more tourists than usual clogging up the town.

Hopefully all the traffic will move smoothly.

i just read today that the events are being held on the opposite ends of town. bike week at the south end and the reenactment at the north end. that should help keep things flowing.

itgirl...you going?
yep, i'll be there. kickoff party at bay city restaurant on wed. night. closest thing to a 'bike night' i'll ever see in this stupid, backwoods area. i'll be in gbg. either friday or saturday night for the festivities. not sure which yet. maybe both if i am lucky.

I'm gonna try to get a few guys to ride down with me. I doubt I'll come alone.

I might have a few guys who are willing to ride out with me....is this a big Harley fest or is there a few sportbikers?

i'm sure there will be a few sportbikers, after all i'll be there, so you can count on at least one. but it will definately be cruiser dominated, that's for sure. i don't care though. other than carlisle, this is about the biggest bike event we have down this way, and i don't wanna miss out on it. heck, i even ride my sportbike to york open house, and that is a total harley event. i don't care, 2 wheels is 2 wheels, ya know. :dthumb: i hope to see ya there, if the harleys don't scare ya away from it that is.

There aren't really any sportbike dominated shows, that I know of, around here. They don't scare me off. I should have a better idea in the next day or so if I'm coming down.

well, i went to the big kickoff party tonight at the local restaurant. after much hemming and hawing, we took the bikes. of course we ended up getting rained on. it rained last year for this event as well. i guess it's gonna be tradition now. but you're not a real biker if you don't ride in the rain once in a while, i guess. it was fun, but thank god better weather is in the forecast for this weekend.
