Here in my town the Fire Depo is hosting a poker run.
It ends up with a free lunch buffet at a pretty nice bar and grill. I am sure I will be amongst a lot of hogs today. :yikes:

Its sort'of like a poker game. You start at point A. pick a card out of a box. Ride to other locations picking one card at each stop. At the end, Everybody compares their hand and the winner usually get a cool prize. Plus everybody get a cool ride and meet and great with other riders.

Exactly!
Today they recorded over 500 bikes. Many with passengers and at $20.00 per they did well.
The fanally had bbq, live band, and aseveral venders at the last stop. Also a trailer was brought in with a dyno inside for anyone who wanted to find out thier #'s

any ride that ends in a free lunch buffet is a good ride in my opinion:dthumb:
Keep it real, don't let those hogs run you off the road.

$20 for a fed ride isn't bad. I have paid upto $60 before. But always for a good cause.

I am a little more cautious on poker runs cause' a lot of harley riders and around here the checkpoints that you stop at are usually bars and i've seen one guy at 3 diferent bars and he was pounding 3 beers and 3 shots at each stop... not a big fan of drinking and riding...

glad you had fun today Earlzach.
I never enter in the poker runs because it's among the slower riders, and they don't ride like I do...so I tend to stay away.

I love doing poker runs and charity rides. Its a great way to meet new riders, help a good cause and get some free food when you're done ! :dthumb:
