A TWF Tradition!BravoX1 09-07-2006, 11:55 AM Ah dang it....Haha i'm not gonna be in the 'IN' Crowd fatburg 09-07-2006, 11:56 AM oh hey look at that...I had the 5k post in this thread. huh, sure wish I would have done something better:lol: fatburg 09-07-2006, 11:56 AM Ah dang it....Haha i'm not gonna be in the 'IN' Crowd
NOPE, They probably won't even cook you up a burger. justpucky 09-07-2006, 11:58 AM Guy here at work just installed a Givi trunk similar to mine on the back of his SV. I will convert the world:BAHA:
:nopicsbs: I want to see what it would look like on my bike... but I think I found the solution It's a little more expensive than I wanted to spend, but if I get this product, I won't have to buy a rear solo seat cowl, so it'll net out in the end. This tail bag, zips to a cordura covered hard plate that locks in place of the rear seat. So I'd have the trunk space, access to my glove box, and no extra seat. I'd get the deluxe for the actual trunk space when traveling:
http://www.luggagelocker.com/media/__elite_zip_pak_LARGE.jpg
and this little bag is only 3" tall (for rain gear only) I'd use it for regular commuting, AND it zips between the two bags for extra space when traveling.:

See, I dont' like the back pack.. it gets annoying. And one of the reasons I bought the bike was for weekend trips (and commuting to Guard Drills) So with this on the seat, it's enough for a basic weekend, and for longer trips (like the gap ralley) I can add the saddle bags.... for everyday use, I'll get the small 3" bag.. just enough for rain gear :D justpucky 09-07-2006, 01:54 PM i got a tail bag and a tank bag, use the tank the most but the tail is nice to have for the longer trips
See, I'm soo short (insert joke here) that I can't really run most tank bags... I might get one just for a map case at some point, but for now... I just want the tail bag so I can use the bike for weekend trips, and carry rain gear. griffter911 09-07-2006, 01:55 PM i like my backpak, its a single strapper Rider 09-07-2006, 01:55 PM I have these in black. Rider 09-07-2006, 03:28 PM We have to be about the same distance right Pucky? 12-15 hours? justpucky 09-07-2006, 03:32 PM Actually I ran it on map quest... it's about 12... My plan was to take off from work (around 330p on Wed) ride 7-8 hours (10:30 ish) stop for the night in a cheap little motel.. then finish it up in the morning. We'll be into the lodge by noon-ish, and still have plenty of time to ride Thursday, and not be totally exhausted.. but I can still get in 3 full days of work basically.
Here is the thread with the contact information for the lodge:
http://www.twowheelforum.com/showthread.php?t=11362 justpucky 09-07-2006, 03:44 PM Actually, those directions I just e-mailed, the last stretch of road comming accross is the dragon. Definately not what you want to run for the first time at midnight after riding for 11 hours (11 hours 25 minutes straight mapquest time) If you zoom in on the route I e-mailed you US129 is the highway... there's an 11 mile stretch referred to as "The Dragon" Rider 09-07-2006, 03:48 PM That route you sent doesnt take into account that on a bike you have to stop every 3 hours to get gas(and rest your butt). justpucky 09-07-2006, 03:53 PM I've found using mapquest it works out about the same... mapquest assumes speed limits... and I've never driven the speedlimit... always a little over. So you gain ground, then surrender when you stretch and fuel. It works out almost exactly. But that is why I figured 12 hours. fatburg 09-07-2006, 03:55 PM I'm still toying with the idea. But I don't really want to make the trip alone. Maybe I can convince my buddy in STL to hitch up with me and go down. He's rides a HD Low-Rider but I don't hold it against him. fatburg 09-07-2006, 03:56 PM I've found using mapquest it works out about the same... mapquest assumes speed limits... and I've never driven the speedlimit... always a little over. Nope I was utterly bored with it and shut it down half way through... What really gets me is the fact that all the chicks seemed ok with it after they new there was a hidden camera... Things like that get me thinking... drewpy 09-07-2006, 10:48 PM ...i need a hidden camera .... and drunk girls..... OneSickPsycho 09-07-2006, 10:51 PM ...i need a hidden camera .... and drunk girls.....
I am looking to do it legitimately... Strippers, a camcorder, a few hundred dollars, and my own website... Still working up capital to get it started... Wish me luck! drewpy 09-07-2006, 10:54 PM :luck: good luck and i want a password.... OneSickPsycho 09-07-2006, 10:55 PM :luck: good luck and i want a password....

Yeah, those guys could ride, but with the center of gravity, and foot pegs, I'd rather have a sport bike...
