We in the process of instituting some changes, behind the scenes. If you've been around lately, you're aware we've been hit with :spam: (SPAM). In order to combat this old problem, we've had to implement some things some of which may be apparent and some that are not. Some of the weird messages some of you may have received when visiting the home page were a result of these changes. Some of the changes we've made that we can tell you about are: No Private Messaging for users with less than 30 posts. The SPAMMERS have been sending SPAM PM's as well as posting threads. Turning on image verification for new registrations - This prevents "bots" from registering Turning on email verification - This requires the user to click on a link to activate their account in order to start posting There are other steps taken, but posting them would limit their effectiveness if we posted them because we'd also be telling the SPAMMER what we're doing! You may get some odd error messages, like: you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: 1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? 2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you, it's a lot of extra work on our part too to try and prevent the SPAM! Please stay with us and stay patient! :twfrox:

:fmer: :fmer: :spam: I hate spammers too. being a moderator on a smaller board, I know exactly how annoying they are, we were recently deleting em left and right, mostly sex related garbage or pills and crap. personally, I enjoy deleting spammers. what you should do, is ban them, delete the text of their post, and replace that with the text "I'm a worthless spammer, please send all the garbage you want to xyz@whoever.com"
