If you wax your ride, wouldn't it make sense to protect and clean your lid? What do you use? Car wax? Rain-X? Nothing?

I use the Honda Spray cleaner and polish on the outside and neutral cleaner or shampoo on the inside and rinse thoroughly

I clean my lid everytime I come back from a ride..i just take some warm soap/water and wash it down..then take a soft cloth, clean the inside/outside of the shield with streak free glass cleaner..than occasionally anti-fog as well..but dont usually have a problem with fog though, fortunately!!

I do about the same as Matt does. However, for no fing reason what so ever, I have a serious problem with it fogging up on my. Now that really sucks when him and I are in triple digits and it fogs up on me. Besides Rain-X, what else works good to stop fogging??? :)

I try to polish my "helmet" every day and I use Jergens.. lol.. Seriously though I tried rain-x and it blurred my vision - NFG. I use Stoner now and it is crystal clear - works good. As far as the helmet portion I wipe the bugs off with Stoner and leave it at that.

see, i don't wash my bike, but i do clean my helmet occasionally. i have onwened my TLR over a year, and have never washed it. i've wiped off some of the crap and bugs when i change my oil, but never taken a bucket of soap and water to it. matt

Matt, not N4S, you need to clean that *****! As N4S said, I use the meguiars quick detailer on the bike, and I use Castrol cleaner/degreaser (purple bottle) on the rims. It works GREAT and leaves the rims nice and shiny!

Yeah Matt, Still not N4S, if you clean it on a regular basis, it will add atleast a few hp to the rear tire. All the hp can only help. :dthumb:

Oh and get a "Type R" sticker....rumor has it that it will automatically add 5hp at the rear!!!!

I'll use a damp rag to wipe the dead bugs off of my helmet... same for my visor... I've recently put some Zooke on my visor, and it looks to have helped stop fogging... For the rest of the bike, I rarely wash it... it's meant to be ridden, and it's not a show bike... when I do get the urge to wash it, I'll detail it with a bottle of simple green for the wheels and chain, and wet rag for the dead bugs elsewhere... Meguiars wax for the plastic when I'm done...
