i have a 1995 ducati 900 supersport we it runs for like 5 mins its fine but when you go it smokes and its not blown up so i thought it may be getting to much gas would that make it smoke and fal plugs plz help :idk:

with a bike that old...you probably have ring or block issues...by determining the color of the smoke, you can determine if it is oil or gas blowby...or...:here: you have a crack in block and water is leaking in... oldetymebiker 09-22-2006, 11:55 PM You need a jet kit....these bikes were renowned for jiggling the needles and jets loose and causing mucho fuel to leak past; running VERY rich........poor idle, smoking and plug fouling after 10-20 miles of low speed running is common on pre-'98's.
Expect a rebuild to last 6-8K miles before it happens again; or switch to Keihin flatslides and be done with it. | |
