I did once take a road trip there (14hrs with only 1 stop other than fuel) it was not that bad  justpucky 09-02-2006, 12:32 PM you have to keep in mind BM, we're comparing it to driving here in the US... which the everything else the US gov't is involved in has Many, Many, Many rules and regulations... And is acutally quite boring... which is why so many bikers break soooooo many rules. I am comparing it to many countries not just the USA. It's pretty dang bad over there. Also you want rules and regulations, someone wrecks into you over there it's your fault because your a foreigner and you shouldn't of been in their country, but if you got a problem with our rules and regulations, you are free to move somewhere else. justpucky 09-02-2006, 12:43 PM Actually based on work experience and emplyment.. I'm pretty much stuck here. That and the fact that I still have a commitment to the MI ARNG, means I can't go AWOL... Sorry, I stand by my opinion on federal gov't interference in state traffic laws, and I can't leave the USA just yet. Yes the rules here are lean compared to most places outside the middle east and it is mostly if you know someone "high" enough you could wheelie all day long and not get anything done to ya. But im sorry i dis-agree with you on the statment of coz your a foreigner you wont be given ur rite. Every place has bad apples, im sorry you got caught up with one while your were in the middle east, im not from Dubia anyway.. im 12hrs away.. Bahrain...

Hi there Gas man, thanks for the welomce  ,
At the moment i own a gixxer 2002 red & black with a full akarapovic system, a power commander, Yoshi drop in cams, K&N air filter, TRE.
As for the gixxer 750, its got a slip on akrapovic and K&N air filter.
Im trying to get a 06 busa which i plan to make it into a 1397cc for the time being to go above the 200hp then it ill see how much i can afford to shell out on it..

Thanks Gas man  I thought long and hard on the wheels when i got it in 02 and i kept the look coz i like it. The problem is the weather here gets so hot, it is about 45 C which is i think 120F so leathers i cant do in summer, winter is more bearable which runs from Nov till July (we dont have 4 seasons here, just 2, hot and cold..lol) so we ride on those months.

That sounds normal to me! Just not the winter thing... here in Michigan winter means snow! You ever see snow? Seriously, I know a guy from the Virgin Islands that never seen snow till he was like 30 up here in Michigan. And he never understood why cars had heat!

Yeah once i had the flu lying down and it started snowing (while in UK) my wife dragged me out to take and play in the snow and take some pixs. Although in Bahrain winter is temps like 10C just cool wind and clear skies, summer is too hot to ride :bash:

Thanks Gasman, Media is full of crap, yeah alot of ppl here are upset about america, but mostly ppl hate the government and politics of it all.. We do have an Navy base here and to my knowledge all is well, i have quite a few friends there. I'm from Michigan...obviously in the states. Nothing major here... typical mid-west states mentality. I'm a biker and do what I can for my fellow bikers! We do have sandstorms sometime that get so bad your visablity reduces to about 200m.
The Good thing about living on this island is we only have two seasons, summer and winter. Summer is too hot to ride a bike but the good news is that it only lasts 4 months a year. After that the weather is generally cool and great for Biking. :dthumb: Gas Man 09-14-2006, 12:43 AM I was in the states a few years ago, been mostly to LA/Florida/New York.
