Found this over on stevnmd's site...its similar to another one we have on here, but not the same.
Its kinda hard to tell what happened, because of the glare, but if u watch it a couple times, u'll notice the deer.
either way, watch out for them deer!!
dubbs 10-15-2004, 04:51 PM I hate deer. In long island theres WAAY too many of them. I know sooner or later im going to hit one. In my cage I've seen about 50 cross in front of me in the 2 years I've lived here
GSXR1000DJ 10-15-2004, 05:39 PM Looking at it at the end of the video is has it in slow mode and it looked a little small to be a deer. But that has to suck hitting anything.
Gas Man 10-16-2004, 01:53 AM  That is ALMOST exactly what happened to me. It is those little bastardz that get ya. They don't know better than to pull out in front of you. That was the size of the one that came out in front of me earlier in the season.
I was like  then I was like :skep: then my :redmc: kicked me off it's back and I was like :cursin: :sob: But after I see that, which was exactly what I feared i'm  !!!
THAT SUCKED and could have been me. Dyno, one of the guys that wants to go to PA can atest to this. He almost ran ME over. I mean ME not the bike!
GSXR1000DJ 10-16-2004, 08:57 AM WOW I don't think I have seen anyone use that many smilies in one post before. You win a prize. I don't know what but something.
So he ran over you. Did it leave any kind of tire mark and anything?? you have pics of it? How bad was your bike?
Mudpuppy 10-16-2004, 11:14 AM That must of been in Florida because deer up here are 10x that size - that looked like a dog or something. All I want to know is did he keep the deer? Man that was messed up - end over end. Pretty crazy. That's why you don't ride backroads in fall in Michigan - the deer are moving, especially after November 15. Man now I am hungry for some jerky. I am checking the freezer today to see if I have some meat worthy of some jerky. I know a couple of mfrs that are down for some MP Special Blend.

No, he didn't run over me. I locked up the brakes on the 9R and was doin some serious fish tailin B4.....up...over....BANG!!!! I was THROWN to my side!!! :bash: When I opened my eyes after the fall I seen my baby slidin down the road :sob: and I was rolling towards the double yellow lines that had cars coming!
Being out front or the first guy with about 15 bikes behind me. Then I started to wonder about those other bikes. :redmc: ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM about 2 or 3 bikes go wizzin by me as I'm pickin myself up off the concrete.. :cursin:
When it was all done, the bike had hit so hard on it's side, as I said, that it actually cracked the magnesium stator cover. :cursin: So it was leakin a bit when the oil system was under pressure. So I had to have her towed to the house on a flat bed.
But anyway, this is turning into a novel...so enjoy a few pics! I had her back on the road in like 3 days! :dthumb:
GSXR1000DJ 10-16-2004, 01:46 PM Bike didn't look that bad. Good to see that it is back up and running for you. :dthumb:
Gas Man 10-16-2004, 01:48 PM Oh, yeah! Actually the bike took the fall well, besides that stator cover. I still haven't fixed the scratches on the plastic yet. Not sure what I'm going to do about that.
Need4Speed 10-16-2004, 01:53 PM as long as it runs man, ur good to go!! Glad u made it thru bro!
GSXR1000DJ 10-16-2004, 01:59 PM .... I still haven't fixed the scratches on the plastic yet. Not sure what I'm going to do about that.

Well I was going to hunt today but I was lazy and it was raining. I need to get out there soon before the idiots get out there with shotguns and scare all the deer. Time is running short. But I will do my best to hook you up at Christmas. There should be a small batch here soon as a pre-Christmas treat.

Looks like the frame slider didn't hold up very well, but at least it saved most of your plastic.
Oh, and does anyone have any idea why some vids that I try to view are real choppy and don't play smooth. Some are fine and play right, but others just skip. All sound is there, but the video skips.
Gas Man 10-25-2004, 04:20 AM No, that frame slider blew!!!
That's why I have said in other threads not to buy those. That was a Lockhart Phillip Carbon Inlay frame slider!!! And believe me, it sucked to take off after it got all jacked!!
