Honda has ads all over as if the RR is a copy of the RC211. My problem with this is the engine. The 211 is a V-five and the CBR is an inline four. The CBR implements lessons learned in the 211 but I wouldn't call it an offspring.
The CBR is an awesome bike, but I wouldn't call it 211 offspring. :shutme

I disagree, the architecture of the bike is defintely a direct result of the RC211 with the engine being the exception. The frame, elongated swingarm, modified rear suspension linkage were all brought directly from the RC211. My guess is that the V5 was simply to expensive to produce for the masses. If you take the tank and plastic off of the CBR and stick it next to the 211, they look very similar.
