Captain Morgan 09-24-2006, 08:34 PM Anyone have some marinara sauce, cus that's a whooooole lotta calamari.
Yep, but at least he admitted it in the title.
KP, how fast you guys going on those standups? Just trying to imagine how much skin would be gone if something went wrong, seeing as how nobody likes to wear gear.
Was that what it was really called, because I believe it.
TATER 09-24-2006, 09:25 PM you mean shorts and flip flops don't count as "Gear"... hmmmmmmmmm

BravoX1 09-24-2006, 09:51 PM oh i didnt know the lack of gear, dang get a jacket atleast
neebelung 09-25-2006, 07:00 AM haters
 not hatin' at all! You TITLED this "Squid Run".... (besides, I knew you were a squid the first time I saw you pullin' up wheelies on Blanding Blvd. on a Saturday night... )
It hurts to see my bike being used like that. But I know you're a good rider.
BravoX1 09-25-2006, 10:43 AM Quote from an article i read from motorcycle usa, Wheelies are not the r6's fortay but like a drunken prom date it can be cooursed.
My wheel comes up when I'm riding hard and shifting, but it's just a lil bit and then it's back down. I really need a dampner for it. After riding other bikes, the R6's front end is real light.
marko138 09-25-2006, 10:47 AM Quote from an article i read from motorcycle usa, Wheelies are not the r6's fortay but like a drunken prom date it can be cooursed.
Psssssssssssst.....you've got reps.
BravoX1 09-25-2006, 10:49 AM if you would have gotten that suzuki you would have a dampner
if you would have gotten that suzuki you would have a dampner
Stock dampners are garbage.
marko138 09-25-2006, 10:50 AM if you would have gotten that suzuki you would have a dampner
The stockers aren't great.
BravoX1 09-25-2006, 10:52 AM honestly tho get a GPR or a SCOTTS

oh i know i just like raggin on DL

Mine will be a Scott's. They are teamed up with Ohlins. Can't go wrong with that.
BravoX1 09-25-2006, 10:57 AM Mine will be a Scott's. They are teamed up with Ohlins. Can't go wrong with that.
no argument there
sdog30 09-25-2006, 04:00 PM Like the pics. The title is funny, too.:dthumb:
That looks like a perfect road to do top speed runs on.
I want to see more pics of that girl on the Kawi.

TRUTH!
stock stabilizers are better than no stabilizers.

I'd say it's even. On the Zuk's and R1's anyway. Kawi's got the Ohlins on the ZX-10, but I'm talking about those real crappy Zuk and R1 dampners. You might as well have nothing. They don't do a damn thing.
BravoX1 09-26-2006, 10:02 AM Man, come on now, they do somethin haha.
Man, come on now, they do somethin haha.
I disagree. I shook the bars like no man has shook the bars before, and I felt absolutely no resistance. Plus I have a buddy with one and he says it sucks.
BravoX1 09-26-2006, 10:23 AM Well i have a buddie that says his R6 sucks, haha. No i'll agree they are nothin like an adjustable one. All i know tho is this thing hasnt slapped on me nearly as bad as my old F3 use too.
Captain Morgan 09-26-2006, 10:30 AM if you would have gotten that suzuki you would have a dampner
Yeah? But then all he'd have is a crappy bike with a stabilizer. I'd rather have an R6 and have to buy a stabilizer than have a Zuk with a stabilizer. ;)
katanapilot 09-26-2006, 10:34 AM Yep, but at least he admitted it in the title.
KP, how fast you guys going on those standups? Just trying to imagine how much skin would be gone if something went wrong, seeing as how nobody likes to wear gear.
I do wear gear, just took off jaket for pics to stirr up comments on forums like this...
I am doing around 40MPH
Nothing compares to a Scotts. A Scotts vs. stock is like comparing a GP bike to a moped...that doesn't even run.

sdog30 09-26-2006, 11:58 AM Arguing points of safety like "not wearing gear while riding a stand up wheelie at 40mph" seems like a contradiction to me. This is the stunting thread and would imagine anything posted in here would be un-safe, so why nit-pick? It's like giving someone sh#t for not wearing their seatbelt in a car while there driving drunk.:idk:

You got a point, but when you title something "Squid run", of course people will chime in. And apparently, it's just what he wanted.

this is like people that that hate nakedness on tv, or foul language on the radio... always complain, yet it is so easy to change the channel... but they dont,I guess as humans we like to complain, I am the devils advocate giving u the can of gas, u r the one with the matches, you know it is in u to light it up
I'm not complaining at all.

It's shot of a pit at a Converge show from behind the lead singer Jake head. Was kind of sick of my avi and someone else has been bitin' it on here, so I thought a mosh scene would be cool. Can't really tell at that size though, so maybe I'll change it again. I figured I was established enough on TWF to change it with out people forgetting who I was. Although it does always screw me up when someone changes it because I look at the aavitar more than the name to recognize someone. Kind of funny.
Yo, rep given' for givin' rep.
Captain Morgan 09-26-2006, 02:03 PM I don't have a problem with stunting at all. I just think people should at least wear gear while doing it. Yeah, it's more dangerous than riding normal, so don't you think people would be even more inclined to wear gear? And as far as "taking the jacket off just for a picture to get people on here to make comments", well, I guess that's alright because you can't get hurt if you just do it one time. Just like you can't get a girl pregnant from having sex only once. Besides, he was only going 40 MPH and a fall at that speed can't do any damage to the body, especially since the stunt was only done to get comments from idiots like me.

Dude, I sold my bike over a year ago because of finances. I plan to buy another bike within a year or two. I still have the leathers and will probably end up keeping them. If they ever happen to sell (doubt it because I'm not trying that hard), then I'll buy a full set whenever I buy a new bike.
I know that Kat has leathers because I've seen pics of him in full gear riding before. I had never even noticed this thread was in the stunting section because I had clicked on it from the front page. I'll stop ragging on Kat and anybody else.
06gsxr6: yes, I'm from IN and yes, you are correct about the location of westfield. Where the money is? Maybe, but it's not in my bank account. Otherwise I never would have sold my bike. But like I said, I'll have another in a year or two, depending on how fast I can work it into the budget. I just got a new (and better job) so hopefully the new bike will come sooner rather than later. Being without a bike sucks donkey dong.
