Michelin Pilot Powers for the street. Since they're so good on the street, the Pilot Races are going to be what I am going to try for the track when I get the money. But for now, my Powers will be on the track. Good tires for double duty.

I found this site to have pretty good price on PP's and PRace, and I might be wrong but I believe it is free shipping (could be wrong tho).

Those are decent tires. Figure it's going to cost you around 20 bucks to mount/balance each one.

caution, rant:

DO NOT BUY FROM RIDENOW

They own several dealerships and shops in Vegas. These people are rediculously stupid. I bought a set of pilot race's from them on sale (for the track, duh) and wanted to get them mounted during the week before the next track day. They avidly refused to mount the tires I had already paid for if I only brought my rims in, I had to bring the entire bike, for some insurance purposes. I was pretty pissed, but I loaded my bike up on the trailer (already was set up for the track, plus don't want to waste the race's on the street) and made the 1 hour trip across town to the shop. They told me on the phone that they could do the bike immediately. When I got there, they told me it would be 6 hours. I had borrowed the truck since my wife had taken ours to work... this wasn't going well. Already getting pissed, but I'm a calm guy. When the mechanic finally comes out to bring my bike back into the shop, he asks where my headlights are... Now not only am I angry, I'm nervous.

I left, went home, waited for them to call. Later that afternoon, I head back over there. I get there, the mechanic brings my bike out. It's got black handprints all over my new track plastics and new paint. The mechanic complains about having to cut all of my safety wire (bike is fully wired). Not only did he cut the wire for the mounting bolts, he cut the wire for my rear brake (not needed), the wire for my brake lines (not needed), and... wait for it... the wire that held my hitch pin for the rear axle to the bike to keep me from losing it. Then he asked me how I was going to ride home without headlights.

I load the bike up, head home, it's dark before I get there. Unload the bike, throw it in the garage.

In the morning, I get up and head outside to re-wire everything, when I see this...

http://www.vegasstreetriders.com/vsr/album_pic.php?pic_id=89
http://www.vegasstreetriders.com/vsr/album_pic.php?pic_id=90
http://www.vegasstreetriders.com/vsr/album_pic.php?pic_id=91
http://www.vegasstreetriders.com/vsr/album_pic.php?pic_id=92

They didn't tighten the pinch bolts on my forks.

Ugh, I still get pissed thinking about it. If I had ridden home, like they wanted me to, I could have lost the front wheel on the freeway. Anyway, this does not seem to be an isolated incident. There are people from vegas getting signed letters from anyone who's had problems with RideNow and taking them to their headquarters in Arizona. The store gave me a gift certificate as compensation, but I'll never use it... I don't want to even show mild support for such an ignorant company.
