Yup, I knew that (it's all Tucker Rocky), and with the new JR designs, it's more and more apparent (very similar styling). The new PT suff that came out in March was their first real foray into sportbike-oriented gear (and it's sold like hotcakes... I know of several dealers/shops where the women's PT gear has been their top-selling stuff ever since it came out). Other great thing about JR/PT is their sizing (unlike A* and Icon) is VERY consistent and true-to-size.

What sort of problems have you run into with sizing nee? Any advice you could give would be awesome as I'll be lookin around for a new leather jacket soon. My textile one that I have right now is the JR phoenix and it fits perfectly...do u find alot of discrepency within a few brands??

Textile ran HUGE (but actually inconsistent from one color to the next within the same style/size) while leather runs really small (for instance, a friend of mine who wears a size 7 in clothing, and is slim/small chested actually had to get an XL in the Kitty jacket). Alpinestars, on the other hand, just runs really small overall (and amusingly enough their men's stuff actually can run LARGE :lol:). I've just found that with JR and PT, the size you wear in a tee-shirt (i.e. S, M, L) is the size you'll wear in their jackets. And the size you'll wear in mesh is the same you'll wear in leather.

Ill give a major tip. Try it on. Then go through the motions of squatting and extending your arms as if you were actually riding. If the jacket rises to far up the arms or the back. Its to small. If the paint get uncomfortably tight in any areas. You guessed it. They are to small.

For non-race style pants, try the Alpinestars "Cat" pants (:drool: ), the Joe Rocket "Trixie" pants, or the new Icon "Bombshell" pants (of the three, the Alpinestars are the most neutral/simple in styling, and will work well regardless what jacket you get... and they're SUPER sexy on). As for fit tips, only other thing I'd take into consideration (cus when you try them on, they'll either fit, or they won't) is if you're short, look for pants that have an unfinished hem so they can be cut to length (I know the Icon Bombshell's have this feature, but can't recall about the other two).

Oh at 5'6", you'll be FINE... that's not short at all (average is like 5'3" - 5'5" so things will probably fit you fine!) At the moment, I ride in jeans. I'm looking for some overpants to keep a bit warmer in winter, and I want to get the Trixie pants to go with my jacket. I'm also going to look into Draggin' jeans in Daytona next week (my BF swears by them... Absolutely loves them!) And don't forget to wear your riding boots when trying them on (since riding boots often have a bit more height than regular shoes) and, as someone else mentioned earlier in the thread, get into a riding position, so you can see how they ride up on the leg, if they gap at the back of the waist, etc...

"Mom jeans." :lol: BUT, a friend who went down in July was wearing them, and while he suffered some major injuries, road rash wasn't one of them (not a bit, actually). So I might suck it up and get a pair for harder/more agressive rides. I know the Australian version of Draggin jeans is offering a few more styles in women's jeans than the American company; a girl on another forum got what they call a low-rise, and while they're higher than jeans I'd normally wear, they still weren't QUITE as bad. So if I can't find any good ones from the American company, I might order some from down under. Icon and Alpinestars also make reinforced Denim jeans but I don't know that either of them have the Kevlar that the Draggin's have. Also, I've heard the Icon runs quite literally 2 sizes small, and are made for people with no butt. :lol:

Shipping from austrailia would kinda suck though... :S Hmm...much as I want to look good as well I would definitely rather save my skin I think that is far more important- I might go try a pair on if they're THAT good. I'm glad to hear a story bout them good to know they hold up as good as they claim to. Or we might just go leathers.... :crazy:

Some just don't realize that gear that is to small can ride up and expose the skin while gear that is to big can bunch up and do the same. If it fits right. It will stay where its supposed too and do its job the best it can. Nothing is 100% protection but if your spending the money. Might as well get the most of it.
