racing fuel yes or no?

I have a friend that get's me 100 unleded vp fuel for free is this ok to run in my 06 gsxr 1000 ? And will it void my warrenty?:flush: :flush: :flush:

I wouldn't do it. Most bikes aren't even supposed to use premium (i.e. 93 octane). Unless you've built your motor up to run high octanes it's probably not the best idea. :2cents:

Man...if I wasn't so tired I'd getinto this more... For now... NO... send me the difference in money... I'll use it more wisely! You're wasting your time, effort, and cash on anything higher than 92/93. I will open Octane/Gasoline school again later when I have more sleep!

And will it void my warrenty? yes, you can run it on your bike. there is a sticker that says fuel over 90 octane. so it shouldn't void your warranty. free fuel is free fuel. just don't expect any performance gains. -a|ex

If the bike is tuned for it, Great! If its not, your going backwards in performance. I've proved it to my self at the drag strip with lower top speeds and ET's using racing fuel 100 ot and 115 ot. I got my best times with 93 on both a built motor and a stock motor.

If your bike isn't tuned and ridden for that fuel...you will be leaving lot's of unburned fuel in the system and will form deposit faster and foul the system quicker...However, you could mix it with say, 87...

Yeah and to determine the octane when mixing just do the math. If you went 50/50 it would be just a bit over 95 octane!
