Why don't you see 2-stroke aprilia in USA?

I've been asking myself wayyyyyy too many times since i moved from UK, most of the guys in aprilia dealers never gave me a straight answer. And every one i ask all come up with some crazy ideas. One has even said its simply due to emissions... What is your take on this? shame they don't have the RS 250 or even the RS 50 over her :cursin:

any 2 stroke over 50cc cannot be lisenced for highway use in the US of A. Its a shame because the RS250 is a beauty. Old 2 stroke bikes are still ok though. IF you tell them you want one, they may be able to get you one, or goto ebay, i know there are some on there... ive been looking. :cheers:

Basically, it's emissions. What's worse, if you are in Kalifornia, there are a lot of things that are not available that you can get in the other 49 states. KARB (Kalifornia Air Research Board) is a neo-nazi organization with no oversight that makes it hell for us dealers to get product.
