I just saw the locked thread and was wondering why do we have to tip toe so much about this issue ? To some of us this has become like a family of sorts. Why cant we know whats going on in our house? Now I realize if there was a big blow out and someone was banned that it doesnt need to be hashed out in the open. But it seem that the question was more of a general question and could be answered to make the forum better and more friendly. I think in order to have a good forum we need members, and I would like see us be a little more relaxed...:idk: I know this forum and its members got its start from another forum,:skep: which has alot of members with alot more problems. I hope this doesnt get locked and maybe we could have a good conversion about it with about everyone saying take it to a mod....
It's not a family, it's a dictatorship since it is owned by Shan. He doesn't like discussions on banned members and doesn't think anything constructive could come of it, so there are none.

if discussion about banned members starts up then in essence the reason they got banned may strike up more controversy.
Its the only way to deal with the infadels.

:iagree:
It's easy to answer with two statements:
If you wanna know WHO is banned (or IF), check their profile. I believe it says "banned" under their screenname.
If it's a question of WHY they're banned, it's probably due to multiple violations of the site rules. Easiest way to not follow them to banned camp is to read the rules, and try to adhere to them.
Hey, we're all free to come and go from the site as we like. We're not forced to post here. So if someone has an issue with the rules that Shan sets forth, they're free to go off and post someplace else where the rules might be different. Seems pretty simple to me. :idk:

I agree we dont need to hash out why a member was banned. But his Question was he noticed 34 members had been banned in a week I believe. I think that could have been discussed without a big issue....

Some people are banned just because they want to screw with people...I remember one guy just kept posting the same thread over and over so needless to say he was gone in a short while. Whether he was a spammer or not coherent enough to post is a different story. I agree with N2S on the issue tho...if people start to talk about why a person was banned it could strike up a controversy and in the process get others of us banned. If u want to know bad enough Shan may give u the reason they were banned but I doubt it. As for me I dont care why someone was banned unless there was no real reason for them to have been. Shan usually has a good reason to ban people...and I dont question the boss. U question him, u might get banned and Id like to stay unbanned.

OK enough of all of the banned member crap that I orginally brought up. 34 people, spammers, EOS.

We are also free to test the rules and question them, but must be willing to suffer the consequences. Some of people are willing to push for change/test the system at any cost while others sit on their hands.

I don't remember the last real member that was banned. But I do ban SPAMMERS on a daily basis. Just understand that.
