Not only is that 1 officer that IS a good guy... but the Kid is too... Brubaker didn't arrest Raap, who had a valid Colorado license, but told him to drive straight home and call him within an hour. Raap's mother, Cindy Raap, called instead and Brubaker told her what happened. He let the kid go probably because he was sincere but the kid didn't try to hide it from his parents and stood up for his actions....I would have to give him :dthumb: and maybe he will get off with just a lil :bslap:

A teenager charged with driving 142 mph along a four-lane divided highway said he was speeding home so his parents wouldn't be mad at him for being late, police said. At least my parents were cool enough that all I had to do was call them and say, "I'm running late." There answer was, "okay, just be careful." And this was LONG before the days of cell phones. I just had to stop at a payphone and call, no big deal. They just wanted to know I was at least on my way home and not out in a ditch somewhere.
