White Christmas

Got ten inches of snow right now, and should have over two feet by the time this blizzard ends. All the interstates are closed, and even the Post Offices have closed. And there is another storm coming behind this one. Actually, this will be the first white Christmas in a while. I haven't ridden since Saturday and it will be a while before I ride again. But I still wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Time to get on line and get out the motorcycle magazines. Hmmm, the 2003 GSX-R 1000 looks nice.

Yeah, I got some overtime because of the weather you received. We have call centers in Phoenix, Denver and Indianapolis, but the Denver one closed early today so I got to pick up OT to take up some of the slack.

I agree.... it's nice to LOOK at... but walk in, drive in, deal with all winter? Nuh uh.... ya'll can HAVE it. :nee It's GREAT to ski in. Too bad I'm stuck in Indiana with nothing but crappy little hills around. I loved living in Utah, just a 45 minute drive and I was skiing on some nice slopes.

NW... did you guys survive? I heard you guys got your arse's handed to you by those storms? Did you dig yourself out? Twenty-one inches at my house, with drifts over three feet. It should be gone in two weeks. I helped dig out and push two cars out of drifts. The tan brick house with the Hoodoos hanging off the roof is my neighbors. The buried car is an old Thunderbird or Cougar. The old red-brick house is mine after the storm ended.

I was kind of hoping for snow for deer hunting tomorrow, but it wasn't to be. It's been in the fifties and sixties every day I've gone. I hate deer hunting in warm weather.

Why would anyone hope for snow......Being orginally from St Louis and now living on the east coast, I don't care if I ever see that stuff again in my life..

Glad to hear you made it thru ok NW! We had three days advance notice of it being a big snow. The continuous strong wind prevented plowing because it would just be covered again in an hour. That's why the airport couldn't stay open. I thought it was great. I got together and helped neighbors. Even met a new neighbor. I have an old 4X4, and I got out the chains for my wife's old VW Bug in case she wanted to go out. I hadn't used the chains in so long the rubber tensioners were all cracked. Plus Denver is semi-arid, and we're always in a drought, so we need the moisture. The only problem now is the gas stations are out of regular. I'll take a blizzard over a flood, earthquake, or hurricane any day.

Gas Man

Truth to that... no flood, earthquake, or hurricanes... heck I'd take the blizard over even a tornado.
