Rept Points System ???

Okay can someone explain "Repping" someone, what it's for/ how do you do it? I have seen you guys "repping" eachother- then today I discovered I have 188 points... Is that good? LOL

I also discovered some pssy gave me neg reps but was too spineless to sign his name to it- I guess whoever it was didn't appreciate my comment about the smoke ban in Ohio. heres the neg rep post-

The rep system is nothing more than a popularity contest. It has no effect to you whatsoever. It's just a way of showing someone that you like them or that you don't like them. The attention whores on the board live and die by it though. :lol:

don't take it personal if someone gives you a neg rep... I've come to the conclusion that not everyone is going to agree with my opinions... surprizingly enough my opinion may not go along with the majority of the world but I could care less if someone wants to neg rep me for my opinions... especially if they are too much of a wuss to sign their name with it...

no need for personal attacks or threats there tommytom... that type of stuff will just get you a short vacation from the boards and someone like that is not worth the time it took to type...

use the search button and type rep you will get quite a few posts... :dthumb:

Your neg rep may be worthy of asking Gas man to find out who it is, the mods can see who reped you. We don't need people threatening each other in secret. Plus, they violated the rules of this board with that rep.

To give reps click the little scale icon (middle one between the online/offline indicator and the warning sign for reporting posts) below the person's avatar in the post you want to rep. It will pull up a little window to give an approval or disapproval rep.
