New Years in New Orleans

SO...Who wants to meet up in New Orleans? I'm going to Slidell on Friday to visit an old friend. He graduated from SIU as an engineer and has been teaching industrial arts at a high school there since he retired from the military. The School Board put him in charge of the reconstruction of the damaged/destroyed schools there after Katrina. They have finally gotten the last school rebuilt and opened...When I spoke to him Christmas Eve...he said it was time for major celebration...:cheers: He has been working 7 days a week since just after Katrina hit. So who wants to meet up for some good times in the Big Easy???

Otherwise I would be all up for meeting up with you. Have fun, watch out for pick pocketers and scam artists.

Sure wish I could go. Lived in Biloxi for awhile and been to New Orleans and Slidell a few times.

The owner sells tickets and donates a portion of the proceeds to charity. It's all you can eat and drink, no charge other than for the price of the ticket, which is $60.
