The first time I played in a poker tournament(Texas Hold'em) I came in second place and won $100. The second time I was the first one out.
This Friday I am playing in my third tournament. The only rule is, you have to bring a 12 pack of beer and you must finish it before the game is over.:dthumb:

:dthumb: hell yeah pokers a fun way to hang out with your buds.
I love to play. One weekend, I won 300 bucks at a home game. I only play home games. The next weekend, I was a shoe-in for back-to-back weekends. I was up four to one easily on my buddy. In that specific game, the final two determined the pay out. Since I was leading going into heads up, I said second place will get their buy-in back. Well I lost to him. At least I didn't loose any money, but he got like 275 bucks that I shoulda won. Oh well.

Ita all about having fun. F the money.
I invented a game one night. It's called Texas Hold 'em Drink 'em. You don't bet for chips, you bet for sips.
Bet sizes:
1-5 sips.
All in= one beer
I left it 1-5 sips because 5 is pretty much a half a beer. Anything over is all in, or one beer.
Keep in mind this is a drinking game. Don't try to argue about how the rules don't make sense. I was bored one night and I created the game. And pretty much every hand, someone goes all in. Depending on how drunk you want to get, you go all in too.
Because there is no chip stacks involved, there will be no side pots if someone goes all in and someone has more beer left. That's gay. It's all in or not. There's always more beer.
Cards are dealt...
1st round: If everybody checks around, it's an automatic one sip. Sip gets carried to the next round. Otherwise normal betting with the above bet sizes takes place. *No one sips until their hand is folded or the hand is over*
Here comes the flop...
2nd round: Normal betting takes place and the sips will get carried forward to the next round (if applicable). Somebody could be all in.
Here comes 4th street...
3rd round: Normal betting takes place and the sips will get carried forward to the next round (if applicable). Somebody could be all in.
Here comes the river...
4th round: Everyone still in checks, folds, bets or bluffs...or watches as the river is dealt because they went all in prior to the river. It's pretty simple. Whoever wins doesn't have to drink the sips they bet or called. The losers, however many, have to drink the sips that have accumulated over the other rounds. So everybody still in, besides the winner, has to drink up.
Sound like a fun game? It gets you fu*ked up QUICK.
I may have left something out. But the rules are pretty solid, as I've played many times.

Then you have to drink what the winner bets.
Then you have to drink what the winner bets.
Negative, you have to drink what you called through the rounds. If you fold right after you get your whole cards, it's an automatic one sip.

But if you play all the way through and lose, then you drink what the winner bets?

rIGHT. bECAUSE IF YOU PLAY ALL THE WAY THROUGH, that would mean you called what the other guy bet, or they called you.
But Low asked what happens if you fold.
byron12 02-02-2007, 02:02 PM Interesting....
Interesting....
It's pretty simple. If you loose and you play until the game is 100% over and the best hand wins, and it's not you, you drink the sips that accumulated over the rounds.
If you fold, you drink the sips that accumulated (that you called or bets that you made that were called) over the rounds.
