Because he's cocky and his interviews suck. It's as if he doesn't even listen to the person talking. you can see him reading the next question off the cards while the guy is answering the question. He's fake as hell.

I like Leno... what you have to understand is that he always talks about their personal life in the interview to make them seem more real.. but then he HAS to go on to whatever they are promoting. As far as making fun of somebody then having them on like it was nothing... its just comedy. Just cause I make fun of Marko cause he was a star on groundhog day doesn't mean I won't call him on the phone the next day just to talk. I think you all are seriously jealous. That dude owns more cars and bikes then we will ever dream of! He actually has his own crew of mechanics and such to work on them and everything. I've seen him on many different v-twin shows and he's always cool. besides... who else would you rather watch? That asshat Conan... talk about the nozzle on a douche bag!

You guys don't know squat about Jay Leno. His TV persona aside, he's a down-to-earth guy in real life. He goes to the Rock Store in Malibu practically every Sunday with either his moto or car and doesn't mind when enthusiasts come to check out the toys. Most of us locals don't ask him for pictures but those that do never get turned down. The guy may has a small army of mechanic to do the maintenance on his vehicles for him but he's not afraid of getting dirty himself. Plenty of times when one of his older car puked out some guts while being driven to the Rock Store, he didn't hesistate breaking out the tools and got the grease under his fingertips. One day the dude would be showing up with a Vincent or the Y2K and the next time he's up there with a Hayabusa. Or his steam powered cars. Or his plain jane stock BMW K1200RS. Say what you will about Leno, the dude is a gearhead and a rider.

Back when he was a standup comic and broke as hell he used to get his italian bikes serviced at our shop in Glendale. While his show bores me silly, Jay is one hell of a guy.
