KISS, Ozzy, Motley Crue, Ratt...all the good old kick a$$ bands! Not sure I'll ever get outta my glam phase totally either, but well u know...old habits die hard....man is there ever alot of memories to along with that stuff. Pigface1 11-03-2004, 05:40 PM Punk
reggae
ska
blues
industrial
Not necessarily in that order. Favorite bands are Pigface obviously, NOFX, Bad Religion, Bad Brains, Fishbone, etc.
Bad Brains is some old school hardcore that used to play in New York and DC when the Beastie Boys were still just a punk band. I was fortunate to see them 10 years ago before they probably broke up for good. The absolute craziest pit I've ever seen, especially after the skin head bastards inevetably showed up.

These guys kick seriously arse!! Mojo 11-03-2004, 07:35 PM I pretty much like everything but Indian music (1/4 tones are just too weird!) and Mariachi.
Oh, and I hate 90's trash. Becca_007 11-03-2004, 09:00 PM I listen to everything. I guess top of my list starts with alternative rock and country though. Strange combo, but I love 'em both! 3BoyzNaBike 11-03-2004, 09:02 PM It pretty much varies for me. When I am out drinking at a local bar shooting some pool, I like to listen to some 80's rocks...(Bad Company~Feel like making love gets me going all the time) ... when I am in a club, R&B, Hip Hop you know, the kind you can dance to. Of course I have been known to thrown on a little metal when I was getting my drink on and just get CRAAAZY! :angelhap: Gas Man 11-03-2004, 10:14 PM Hip Hop, Pop, R&B, Rock, Old School Rock, Metal, Counrty Mudpuppy 11-03-2004, 10:26 PM Metal! Well except I have a VERY low tolerance to country ***** kickin' music  :leaving: ...LOL DAN DUBEAU 11-04-2004, 07:21 AM Big country guy here, i'm more a fan of the old stuff though. LOL...Same here! I HAVE to have music on! Especially when I'm surfing the net or driving. Cuz then I can make a fool of myself, while I dance at a red light...LMAO That's why the hubby never drives with me. :dthumb:
COuldn't imagine sitting in complete silence. THAT would drive me nuts!!! DAN DUBEAU 11-04-2004, 08:42 AM I had to drive to work for a week strait (35 mins) with no music, because my radio broke. I wasn't the happiest person when i got there in the morning BusaBabe 11-04-2004, 08:46 AM Rock for me. :here: :here: WildMonkey 11-04-2004, 09:18 AM Hey Everybody ! :seeya:
I love Rock, like Papa Roach, or is that "Pop-a-Roach"... LoL, Rap, Jazz, Blues, anything BUT Country. Hell, I even enjoy listening to NPR, and I am a Staunch Republican ! Love the Tappet Bros. Click & Clack.... ROTFLMAO...
:redmc:
Steve. sherwood 11-04-2004, 10:25 AM It's all about Hardcore. I also play in a hardcore band here in Vegas...I play drums.
My favorite bands are Norma Jean, Darkest Hour, As I lay Dying, Poison the Well...just to name a few. Pigface1 11-04-2004, 11:03 AM I pretty much like everything but Indian music (1/4 tones are just too weird!) and Mariachi.

Interesting. . I f'n love mariachi, don't know why. lol I also love bagpipes, digeredoos, etc. :smash: Pigface1 11-04-2004, 11:04 AM Rock for me. :here: :here:

Oh, and I hate 90's trash.
 Even Nirvana?
Classical for those stressful days, lots of Linkin Park lately, NIN, mix of other stuff, though not country, rap, or r&b. Are rap and r&b separable? I mean, are there people who like one but not the other? I can't think of anyone, but it just occurred to me  Pigface1 11-04-2004, 11:26 AM Yes, without a doubt.
No reggae fans here? Need4Speed 11-04-2004, 12:12 PM Reggae fans mon!!! It's all good!!! Pigface1 11-04-2004, 12:27 PM Bob, Peter, Bunny = the Holy Trinity. :here:
Black Uhuru might be my favorite, followed by Yellowman, and probably Eek A Mouse.
Dem knew it but dem can't do it, seen. :here: Mudpuppy 11-04-2004, 12:29 PM I usually listen to anything! But usually you cn hear me listening to The Doors, Janis Joplin...Classic Rock stuff!

I cannot stand country and/or western. The only country I like is being out doors in it. Need4Speed 11-04-2004, 12:33 PM Country is one of those love it hate type things..seems to be the usual response from people.
cant say I enjoy it either ..with the exception of garth brooks, he was cool.. and Shania Twain  now's theres a country chick I can get into!! :D Pigface1 11-04-2004, 12:36 PM I'd nail Shania six ways to sunday, but I can't stand country music. Need4Speed 11-04-2004, 12:40 PM I'd nail Shania six ways to sunday, but I can't stand country music.
i couldnt even tell you more than a few of her songs, if that many...but who cares with this.. Pigface1 11-04-2004, 12:46 PM See, something like that could pursuade me to move to Canada, at least for a few months. lol pickle.of.doom 11-04-2004, 12:57 PM Pigface, nice pics back there! I caught Bad Brains way back in like 91 or so... they played at St Andrews Hall in Detroit, with a little opening band that just amazed me. The first band of four, Rage against the Machine. They rocked!
Bad Brains rocked too, HR is crazy live! Pigface1 11-04-2004, 12:59 PM It's too bad the skinheads inevitably showed up at every show. HR got so pissed he just played reggae the whole second half of the show. It's cool, I like their reggae, but that's not what I went to see.
Bad Brains w/ Rage would have been cool as hell. I wonder how Zach de la Rocha is doing out on his own? lol pickle.of.doom 11-04-2004, 01:27 PM It was cool, yeah, ZdlR looked like he was probably 16 or so. It was actually my first concert ever :) twisty 11-04-2004, 01:35 PM I like anything that rocks. Seether, Disturbed, and Cold are some of my favs... Gas Man 11-04-2004, 02:43 PM  Um, what did you say! Those pics of Shania got me all messed up!!!  Pigface1 11-04-2004, 02:44 PM It was cool, yeah, ZdlR looked like he was probably 16 or so. It was actually my first concert ever :)
My first concert ever was the Monkeys reunion in 1985 or so. That scarred me for life. lol
Unless they've been to one, I don't think people can really understand what a Bad Brains concert is like. Everything else is Kenny G in comparison. Well, except for GG Allin. :here: pickle.of.doom 11-04-2004, 03:22 PM Hehe... Yeah, well my 2nd was GWAR :D That is probably the band I've seen most live..
Any of you that aren't from MI and have to pass through Detroit: Catch a show at St. Andrews Hall... just whatevers playin that night. Never had a bad time there. Pigface1 11-04-2004, 03:40 PM Do you mostly listen to hardcore, or what?
Obviously many of my beliefs are conservative, which is odd considering NOFX is probably my favorite band. Most of my favorite bands fall into some sort of punk category.
GWAR would have been a trip.
When I was in college in south Florida, Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids were a local band. Those shows were nuts.. Reznor ruined a perfectly good band. Reznor was actually with Pigface before that. Pigface was one of the craziest concerts I've ever seen, too, right after FOOK came out. :here: | |
