no need for a politics section Shan. seriously, just read the threads started by everyone whining that *gasp* the democratic process worked, the majority ruled and President Bush was re-elected... anyway... no need for a politics section. according to them, basically, the world is going to come to an end, hence the effort to set up a new section would be wasted.

I'm no political genious by all means, but didn't the stock market take it's plummit and the economy go to pot well before Bush stepped into office? He inherited a recession created by the bubble economy in the 90s. That wasn't Clinton's fault, however, the military cuts created part of the illusion. Eventually the economy has to correct itself and that's what's happening. We have the same unemployment rate that Clinton had when he got reelected. Interesting when you consider the libs were praising him for that, yet he never had to deal with a recession or 9/11.

Yes the stock market crashed due to the false bullsh!t economy that Clinton had EVERYTHING to do with. Now Bush is picking up the pieces. All the Democrats want to cry :sob: about "lost" jobs and it is ALL Bush's fault - how many of those pathetic whiny little beotches drive foreign cars? Probably ALL of them. You want jobs to stay here - BUY FOUCKING AMERICAN. Arnie called and left a message for you - STOP WHINING! Also stop creating new political threads... Wah wah, it is over and the best man won. Now deal with it and stop saying oh no 4 years is going to be hell, blah blah blah - either do something to help this country or move the ***** out of it. Oh yeah and "more" dead soldiers - people dying for the job they signed up for and protecting our country? This is bad how? Did they not now the world is full of bad people and that by signing up for the military they are signing up for an inherently dangerous job? I highly commend and recognize ALL our soldiers for a job well done! They deserve much due props. All you whiny anti-Bush anti-war I was for it when the WTC collasped but now it is time to whine like a Gen Xer or Gen Nexter because it is hard and people are dying. Welcome to the real world where it is not a video game that you can pick up and put down and it is not a 5 minute task - it is HARD work and takes TIME. You are disgracing our most reverant brethen who are soldiers fighting for your freedom. Yeah 1,000 troops died and that is terrible - I wish none of them died - but what is your choice? 1,000 dead soldiers or 1,000,000 dead innocent american citizens? Which one? Please tell me. Oh yeah more government debt? Yeah THANKS CLINTON! The whole false economy that he created is what you have to thank - how many foucking times do I have to say that closing down bases, not providing a budget for Navy ships to do their much needed task of patrolling the world's ocean's and not PAYING AMERICA'S BILLS is what caused the government debt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There NEVER WAS ANY SURPLUS! You people are all dumb sheep that believe what the facist media and the ultra-liberal morons tell you - every ***** filled spoonful you eat it like you haven't ate for a year. Give me a break. Go to Canada or something for christ sake because this country needs less whiny please politicians think for us people. GET OVER IT! BUSH WON! "majority vote", etc etc ad nauseum. the fact remains that, at the end of the day, neither matter much. it's the electoral college votes that decide the election. now then, the relevance/need today for the electoral college system is an entirely *different* thread. :leaving:

So that was indeed my reference. Yes, no doubt all that matters in this flawed system is the electoral vote, but I wasn't commenting on that. It is ironic for me to say incosistent without being specific, isn't it :sorry: But I've never heard someone refer to the majority of electoral votes as "the majority" in the context in which you used it. He paid off the families of suicide bombers. He made an already unstable region even worse. You should know this already. You are not a little kid. When I was 18 I was already aware of what was going on in the world. Fortunately, you are young, and you have plenty of time to learn. Also, you should be able to form complete sentences. I am still pissed about the WTC and Pentagon and I live nowhere near there - if I lived there I would not be infuriated I would be in Iraq right now gunning mfrs down. But that is just words of a right wing highly patriotic whacko I guess. Try that ***** in Michigan punk as$es.. I will personally hunt you down. Nobody messes with the D and doesn't suffer greatly. The Iran-Contra scandal was just a fig newton of my imagination. The fact that the BCCI has funded billions upon billions of dollars for weapons for terrorists never happened. Mahouf never did any of that - it never happened. Sadam had "no ill will" towards the US. He never brutally slaughtered his own people. You are right none of it ever happened. We should have "butted" out and let the terrorists train some more so they were more well prepared - maybe give them some more weapons and money. Maybe give them better detailed plans of strategtic sites in the US and abroad. Maybe buy into the UN bull**** that we should have waited to apease the world - **** that! You make me sick. Im not an idiot, im in college, im in the top of my class in Networking, i dont take english class, i dont give a **** how i type on the internet, it has absolutely nothing to do with my IQ. Basically, you voted for Bush because he gives you more tax breaks. Regardless of the fact that he is the worlds best terrorist recruiter is irrelevant. Like Jetski sed, "why not attack any other brutal dictator?" Why pick one? Why pick the ****ing middle east? The UN was working then he closed em out, then he let them back in. Mudpuppy has no chance im sorry, u should just take that out of ur sig. I like some of your ideas are good but the fact that you agree with bush and make fun of new yorkers just pisses me off. New York made this country, cant **** with that. See dubya sed WMD's not weapons in general. IRC we never gave iraq weapons...We did however give israel and iran weapons. This is dubyas thought process. WTC gets attacked, Man im pissed, Doesnt cheney own a company that makes military equip? People dont like sadaam, What asanine reason can i make up to give me the right to go to war? I KNOW! The WMD's WE NEVER FOUND! Then we rid the world of sadaam, But hes still runnin iraq just like any gang leader or mafia boss from prison.. Then he sed we will say we "freed the people" who are now beheading soldiers and murdering their own who support america. That **** dont add up for me? IDK if it does for you, but seeing what i see on the news everyday just doesnt sit well with me. This war makes less sense then vietnam, at least then we were stopping the spread of communism even tho the start of it was falsified. If you like a misleading president who wastes human lives for no ****ing reason.. GO AHEAD SUPPORT THAT IDIOT...as for me, ill be looking forward to change.

"hey mudpuppy i hate starbucks, and im not a yuppie, and that iq thing is funny and true... Im not an idiot, im in college,". The IQ numbers were originally attributed to the book "IQ and the Wealth of Nations", though they do not appear in the current edition. The tests and data were administered via the Raven's APT, and the The Test Agency, one of the UK's leading publishers and distributors of psychometric tests. This data has been published in the Economist and the St. Petersburg Times, though this does not mean it should be taken as fact. Stop digging your hole deeper.

Well, it seems like presidents always do their best work when they don't have to worry about pleasing everyone to keep their vote for next time. At this point, they just want to do something so historically good that it will leave their mark on the future. Hopefully Bush follows the trend, and we get to see his best the next four years. That is the last thing I'm sayin about the election! I'll share the tidbit I picked up from NPR (yeah, yeah you neocons, I already know you think its liberally-laced). The commentary was totally non-partisan, and the guy was a poli sci prof at Harvard (I think). He analyzed second terms and in many cases they were not as good as the first. His suggestion of the problem was trying to over-reach. This happened to Roosevelt, and if it wasn't for the Second World War, it was unlikely he'd have won a third term. Roosevelt tried overhauling the justice system, I think. And we all know what happened in Clinton's case. His summary was that the over-reach caused a backlash on the Hill, even when the Legislature was controlled by the same party. Thought it was interesting enough of an insight to share. Take or leave as you please.

Just list the good things bush has done, why you voted for him, dont be an asshat just list facts, i really wana know. And The Saint, my grammar is not in question here its how bad bush is. I voted for Clinton in 96 and Gore in 2000, and I'm a Republican. I voted for them out of spite for the Religious Right. The reasons I voted for Bush are this. I thought he handled 9/11 better than anyone could have. He didn't freak out, he didn't hesitate, he struck right back, and he struck hard. He took a page from Ronald Reagan if you remember Quadafi shooting our planes down in 86. In response, Reagan called him a "dirty dog" and bombed his house. We had the Trade Center bombed in 1993. The Federal Building in my home town was bombed in 1995. Something you won't hear about in the national media is Terry Nichols met with Al Qaeda operatives in the Fillipines a year before to discuss bomb making. Kerry said Bush is responsible for losing X number of jobs. That tells me that he's incompetent. Bush inherited a recession, we are out of it. We lost 1.2 MILLION jobs in the two weeks following 9/11. That is freely ignored. I don't blame the recession on Clinton, the dot com era created a bubble economy, any economist will tell you that. However, Clinton manipulated the numbers by making drastic military cuts. So, the Trade Center was bombed, the USS Cole, the embassy, etc etc. What did Clinton do? He gave warning and sent a couple cruise missiles into abandoned camps in Afghanistan. Kerry said Bush has taken troops out of Aghanistan to go to Iraq. That's another thing that shows he's either a liar, or incompetant. We have more troops in Afghanistan now than we did two years ago. Bush gave tax cuts to EVERYONE, but Kerry said only the rich got them. Did you get a check? Thought so. That's a basic funamental difference in economics. . but, lowering taxes generates revenue, which in turn helps the economy. I can't even fathom what raising taxes would do to a struggling economy. . it would kill it. Bush knows that the world is not a safe place, and he knows you can't just sit around and talk about making it better. It requires action. Saddam had every chance in the world to comply with the UN. For 12 years he gave them the finger. UN inspectors came out and said just a few weeks ago that yeah, he was manipulating them. Whether he has weapons hidden in the west bank, jordan, etc, remains to be seen. It's the principle of it. How in the hell are you going to negotiate with your enemies if they don't think you're for real? Iran is laughing at France and Germany right now b/c they know they won't do a damn thing. England is in there and that's the only thing that's even making the talks possible. You cannot give terrorists and like-minded people an inch, they'll take a mile France has tried pacifism, yet their subways get bombed by Algerians just about every year for the past 20. Worked well for them. Fight the war over there, not here. Changes do NOT happen over night, that's what Kerry and the like don't understand. Even with a Constitution as perfect as ours, it still took women 150 years to get the right to vote. It's easy to sit around on a campus and say, "Well, the world hates us, lets be nice and everything will be okay." It sounds nice, but it doesn't work that way. In the 80s the same people thought Reagan was a wreckless war-mongering cowboy that didn't know ****. Reagan ended the cold war, not Jimmy Carter. If you want to know anything more specific, feel free to ask.

He killed his own ppl and was such a bad dictator but ppl are still fighting for him for some reason. Why not Saudi Arabia is all im sayin Saudi did not sponsor terrorism, and Saudi has been one of our allies for decades, regardless of what some will try to tell you. Bin Laden is Saudi, that doesn't mean anything. Zawahari is Jordanian, that doesn't mean anything either. They both fought in Afghanistan. Zawahari fled and went to Iraq, not Iran, not Saudi, not UAE. Saddam was paying $25,000 to the families of Palestinian suicide bombers. Did you notice a decrease in suicide bombings in Gaza after Saddam was captured? The ones fighting in Iraq, the insurgents or whatever you want to call them, are former members of Saddam's Baathist party. They know they'll no longer have carte blanch to do whatever they want. The others fighting with them are guys like Zawahari. . freelance terrorists essentially that have things in common with the likes of Al Qaeda and Hamas. Interestingly enough, he pledged allegience to Al Qaeda week before last. Some people imply that these insurgents would be living productive lives if we weren't there. The same people also imply that the Iraqis are not fighting along side us. The media will only show places like Fallujah b/c it makes a good story. They're not showing the good things we've done over there, and they won't. FoxNews beat the other networks by NINE TO ONE on election night. There's a reason. . people are waking up and seeing the bs coming out of the major networks and papers like the NY Times. Invading Saudi makes no sense what-so-ever. That makes about as much sense as attacking ourselves because that's where Johnny Jihad is from. I know many people would like one black and white answer in a neat little package, and I know that most people don't have the attention span to learn about what's really happening. That's understandable, but some people are willing to learn. Saint will testify that I used to be one of the most liberal people on the forums as little as 4 years ago, eventhough I am a Republican.
