Yesterday i took a nail in the rear tire and must have slung it out soon afterwards. I got a terrible wobble and the SV wouldnt turn so it was time to pull aside. Sure enough- DEAD FLAT. How it stayed on the rim i dont know. I'd like to thank Jared and Kevin in Denham Springs LA for stopping and producing a repair kit and air compressor. Good guys, and i made it home just in time to miss the rain storm. I'd also like to thank the 2 local Sheriff that passed and took the time to stare as they mosied on by. :thx1: again!

I'll stop any time I see someone on the side of the road unless I've REALLY got to be somewhere... or theres more than one other vehicle stopped already.

Were these guys on motorcycles? I don't carry a compressor, but I used to have a repair kit. The glue dried up and I haven't replaced it yet. But I will now.

I ride solo most of the time and repair kit is a MUST have on all my trips, Thank goodness I haven't had to use it on the road, but you know it's nice to know it's there. Glad things worked out... even if the Po-Po didn't do anything but glare at ya's:skep:

What's a good place to get one? Is this kit something designed (size) for motorcycles? Because I'm thinking it would need to be extremely small. :sigh: guess I need a tailbag too...

oops, sorry i didnt clarify, but they were landscapers riding in their work truck. i usually carry a repair kit, but since i took my bike apart i never put it back. It wouldnt've been much use without the compressor because i could push the center of the tire to the rim with little effort. a reamer and plug wouldnt've done the same. i think now i'll look into those CO2 kits.
