Was in my first accident yesterday.

I was on my way to work at about 6:45. I was about a 1/4 mile from my job. As I was coming up on a street to my right, a white car pulled about two feet into my lane. I figured that he seen me, and was going to wait for me to pass before he tried to make a left turn. I was wrong. As I got within 50 feet of the guy, he pulled all the way out and stoped, blocking my entire lane. I got on the brakes hard, locked up the back tire, and almost the front. :yikes:. I slowed down to about 10-15 mph before I hit the front of his car. I braced and griped the tank, the back tire came up about 3 feet, the bike came down fell on the right side. I am un-injured just a little sore. Most of the damage looks cosmetic. I called the police, turns out the illegal mexican driver had no license, no insurance, no registration, and it wasnt even his car. I have full coverage, but not uninsured motorist, so I am about to have to pay my $1000 deductable. All the other guy got was a couple of tickets. The officer said she couldnt even take him to jail for being an illegal alien. :cursin:

**** THAT! she can't arrest him for being an illegal alien... that is bull%*@%.... what part of illegal didn't she understand.... I would find out who's car it was and sue the owner of the car for allowing an unliscenced and uninsured driver to operate the vehicle... or at least file a claim with their insurance Co. ... go get checked by your doctor to make sure that you are really OK... .things always feel worse and more sore a day or two after an accident... remember to try to include your helmet and any gear that was damaged in your accident claim. If the owner of the car is insured they should be liable for all the damages...... glad you are not seriously hurt. hope that the bike repair goes well... this may be a chance to get a nice new paintjob and a new helmet... remember if there your head hit the ground or the car the helmet should be replaced, just as if it were dropped on the ground... the construction inside the helmet may be compromised... guardian angels ride on two!

THATS CRAP! I hate when people like that are on the roads. the no license insurance or registration alone, WITHOUT being an illegal would have gotten him jailtime here. a good 6 months worth at least. thats retarded.

I'm tired of this political Bull*$#@t congress we have. It just messes with the economy. Them illegals are still her because they are making someone some money in this country. The question is, who is mostly benefiting from the illegals being here. It could be these business's that hire them. It could be the police so they can justify spending. Man, I'm really sorry about your accident. I'm glad you are not deterred from riding. Glad that you still have your limbs and no road rash and no brain injury.

That's total BS my uncle just got arrested for not have a license, registration,or insurance and he is looking at a couple of months. The guy that hit you should see some jail time, but my cousin got hit in his car by a guy with no legal papers and got screwed big time. So just be prepared the guy that hit you probably won't get Shiznit done to him and you'll have to pay out the Azzz.It sucks azzz but i'm glad your ok.ps.make sure you get a new helmet if you hit it on the ground or anything!:luck: Damn illegals:cursin:

Glad you didn't get injured. I agree with Tater... find out who OWNS the car because their insurance is supposed to cover it. Granted, their insurance WON'T cover it because of an unlicensed driver, but you can sue them for your $1000 deductible. Hope you get UM/UIM on your policy now. Granted, it's too late to cover THIS accident, but it's so flippin cheap compared to the rest of your policy that it's pointless to NOT have it.

**** THAT! she can't arrest him for being an illegal alien... that is bull%*@%.... what part of illegal didn't she understand.... Its true tho. One of my friends was a cop for Dalton (little mexico) and he said they werent allowed to arrest illegals because there are too many of them in jail. I say send their a$$es back to Mexico and pay for it there. No offense to any hispanics on here but I think they get off way too easy. Anyways glad to hear u werent anymore hurt than u were and :luck: with the insurance and stuff.

I had this happen with my last cage. had to pay 500 dollars to the insurance company to fix my stuff that he hit. then I also had to pay the guys in front of me stuff that I hit when I was pushed in to him. the guy didn't have license or insurance and was illegal as hell. they didn't do ANYTHING to the guy at all. just let him leave. then the next day I'm getting a call from the guys in fronts lawyer. :cursin:

Dude im really sry about your accident and im glad your okay. but that really sucks that your the one that everythings getting dropped on.:iagree: like everyone keeps saying to threw the owners insurance. but just this past fall there was a wreck and it was at a stop light and there were three cars and a fourth came and rearended the last car and pushed the others into eachother. and try to guess who got to pay for all the damage. the car in the very front that could of done nothing. when stuff like that happens it really pi$$es me off. :cursin: :cursin: :wbs:

illegal mexican immigrants, and any illegal immigrants at all, should get either:bash: :flush: :bthorse: :fmer: :sb: :nkick: :hang: :bslap: :chair: because they are no good and are committing CRIMES! My grandparents came over from Italy and Ireland LEGALLY. and my italian Grandparents learned to speak english...they didnt expect americans to conform to their norms...they were in AMERICAN now... BTW hope your ok and the bike is better:cheers:

I took the rear brake pedal off the bike and a couple of other parts. I took it for a short ride and it seemed to ride fine. I am going to take it up to the shop tomorrow to get it looked at. I think all the damage was cosmetic, but I dont want to risk anything. The back tires got a pretty good flat spot on it

The only thing wrong with this logic is the fact that many Americans go to other countries and expect everyone to be able to speak english, like it should be the worldwide language or something. Good point. I could understand if they were visiting or some thing but if ur going to live somewhere u need to at least learn to speak the local language.:2cents: That could be part of it tho. That's not bad. My first claim on a bike when my ninja got blew over in a thunderstorm as like $4500 and it still had the temp insurance on it... I think it was like 2 weeks old.
