Remember all that snow we had?

I figured I'd post some "after melting" pics for comparison. You call that snow?! We got over a foot here a couple weeks ago, and then another foot a couple days after. Long story short the snowbank is like 2 feet over my head. We actually had to shovel snow off the snowbank we were shoveling onto about 3 times to clear my driveway. In closing I am very jealous, especially since I am putting a downpayment on a bike tomorrow. :sob:

It's 66 degrees today!!!! Nice, we are in the 40's. Its only supposed to be just above freezing. Supposed to be in the 50's early next week. TIme to get the bike out.

It's not the snow that bothers me. What I hate is the 1/4" layer of salt/sand all over the place. It's like riding on a gravel road until we get a good hard rain or two. At least when there's snow on the ground you know you can't go ride. Sitting here when it's 60 degrees outside with a wet sloppy salt/sand mix all over everything is what truly sucks.

I have 3-4 where it was piled up. I can see almost nothing but grass now!! I used to live in IA. They dont use hardly any salt compared to MI. The only time they use sand is when its too cold for the salt to melt the ice. Nobody uses salt like Michigan does... I bet i have a couple mills of salt all over the side of my truck. the salt use here also is why all our cars rust out in 5 years! And down here they NEVER EVER use sand.. all salt and LOTS of it!

I did see a couple sportbikes out today but the pavement was all wet. Got to 42 here, even saw a kid walking down the street in shorts and t-shirt :willy: its warm but not that warm!!!

I used to have 5.5 acres with a sweet dirtbike track on about 2 1/2 of it but to make a long story short got screwed by the ex, had to sell and moved to wonderful Detroit :cursin: If only I could track him down for my $68K judgement money I'd have property and my quad and dirtbike back. I had no neighbors before and now I can hear the toilet flush and alarm clocks go off of my neighbors :sob: Sigh......live & learn I guess......

Kids in shorts are crazy but not as crazy as the hos that go downtown in miniskirts here in the middle of a frickin snowstorm. I'm not joking, if you go downtown and its -15 plus the windchill you will see at least one of these people.

Supposed to be damn near 70 today. I MIGHT break out the cycle. Maybe.
