Captain Morgan 03-08-2007, 07:53 PM I figured I'd post some "after melting" pics for comparison. Here's what it looked like when I THOUGHT the snow was done:

Here's what it looked like when the snow was finally done falling and blowing around:

And here's what it's like after almost all of the snow is gone:

itgirl25 03-08-2007, 08:10 PM we just got more snow yesterday. winter sucks!
byron12 03-08-2007, 08:12 PM Dude I can't believe you still have snow it is warm here...:nonod:
DoktorPete 03-08-2007, 08:16 PM You call that snow?! We got over a foot here a couple weeks ago, and then another foot a couple days after. Long story short the snowbank is like 2 feet over my head. We actually had to shovel snow off the snowbank we were shoveling onto about 3 times to clear my driveway. In closing I am very jealous, especially since I am putting a downpayment on a bike tomorrow. :sob:
Crazy250 03-08-2007, 08:18 PM thats pretty much what it looks like over here. JUST MELT DAMMIT!
Captain Morgan 03-08-2007, 08:23 PM Dude I can't believe you still have snow it is warm here...:nonod:
You're many miles south of me, too.

Just another reason I'm glad that I don't live any farther north than I already do.

I can't wait to move somewhere more south so I can use a bike all the time as opposed to like...4 months.
dscort 03-08-2007, 09:14 PM nothing wrong w/ a little snow. i took advantage of the 2-3 inches we got the other nite.

Rider 03-09-2007, 01:44 PM It's 66 degrees today!!!!
Nice, we are in the 40's. Its only supposed to be just above freezing. Supposed to be in the 50's early next week. TIme to get the bike out.
jtemple 03-09-2007, 02:01 PM It's not the snow that bothers me. What I hate is the 1/4" layer of salt/sand all over the place. It's like riding on a gravel road until we get a good hard rain or two. At least when there's snow on the ground you know you can't go ride. Sitting here when it's 60 degrees outside with a wet sloppy salt/sand mix all over everything is what truly sucks.

I used to live in IA. They dont use hardly any salt compared to MI. The only time they use sand is when its too cold for the salt to melt the ice.

:iagree:
its so wierd hearing people talk about snow....it has been 65 or higher all week...73 today....:sorry: to hear about snow for you guys....that sucks the left side of a muddy elephants sack.
Gas Man 03-10-2007, 08:07 AM I have 3-4 where it was piled up.
I can see almost nothing but grass now!!

Nobody uses salt like Michigan does... I bet i have a couple mills of salt all over the side of my truck. the salt use here also is why all our cars rust out in 5 years! And down here they NEVER EVER use sand.. all salt and LOTS of it!
DoktorPete 03-10-2007, 01:13 PM Took some pics of the snow/my very dirty car...

Pippi 03-11-2007, 12:00 AM Yes, I remember the snow because it has now made a lake of my back yard ~ real fun with the dogs ~ NOT!! EDIT - mud bog of the back yard.
I did see a couple sportbikes out today but the pavement was all wet. Got to 42 here, even saw a kid walking down the street in shorts and t-shirt :willy: its warm but not that warm!!!

One of my biggest pet peeves is when i see kids wearing shorts in winter. I dont freakin get it?
Are you trying to look cool? because i know im getting older but last time i checked it isnt cool to look like a complete fool whom cant even dress themselves appropriately for the weather. argh, do you really love short pants so much as you'd sacrifice your own personal comfort just so we can see you have hair on your legs you little bastard.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
k done.
Captain Morgan 03-11-2007, 12:12 AM Damn, Dok!!! That's a lot of snow.
Pippi, sorry you have a backyard swamp. Buy a dirtbike and go have fun. ;)

Ha, wish I had the room it would be awesome! I used to have 5.5 acres with a sweet dirtbike track on about 2 1/2 of it but to make a long story short got screwed by the ex, had to sell and moved to wonderful Detroit :cursin:
If only I could track him down for my $68K judgement money I'd have property and my quad and dirtbike back. I had no neighbors before and now I can hear the toilet flush and alarm clocks go off of my neighbors :sob:
Sigh......live & learn I guess......
DoktorPete 03-11-2007, 12:56 AM Kids in shorts are crazy but not as crazy as the hos that go downtown in miniskirts here in the middle of a frickin snowstorm. I'm not joking, if you go downtown and its -15 plus the windchill you will see at least one of these people.
marko138 03-13-2007, 04:46 AM Supposed to be damn near 70 today. I MIGHT break out the cycle. Maybe.
