I emailed Private Track Time, who is holding the event, and they got back to me. It was a system error. Beginner and Intermediate is NOT full and should now work. :dthumb: itgirl25 03-09-2007, 07:00 AM I emailed Private Track Time, who is holding the event, and they got back to me. :yesnod: You would want to ride in the novice class. It would be an excellent learning opportunity. RATyson 03-13-2007, 04:08 PM :yesnod: You would want to ride in the novice class. It would be an excellent learning opportunity.
Yeah, you would probably learn a GREAT deal more on how to ride there then you would on the street. All that learning without all the cages getting in your way. The track is the best place to learn control. BravoX1 03-13-2007, 04:25 PM Sweet deal marko i'm hittin the track in april. They filled up in less than 24 hours. Me and my buddy got the last 2 novice spots at Pocono. shamrock 03-13-2007, 10:58 PM mybe i should sign up for the advanced class, and hope they let me ride with the novice. what do you think marko138 03-13-2007, 11:02 PM mybe i should sign up for the advanced class, and hope they let me ride with the novice. what do you think
I would advise against that. But there was only 1 spot left when I signed up. They made room for my buddy in the novice. You might get somewhere if you email them first and ask them. Cant get it down!!! 03-15-2007, 12:15 PM Hell yes. I'm going. Free stuff...shirts, knee sliders, action pics. A full track day...and ON TRACK DEMO OF BUELLS.

DLIT 03-24-2007, 09:38 AM Damn. Does that mean their sales suck, they have to let you ride on the track for free? And then MAYBE you'll buy their bikes. L48Shark 03-24-2007, 10:48 AM Damn. Buell gets a lot of flak because their parent company is H-D. Rice rocketeers often dismiss them without even giving them a chance. (You might notice when someone bashes Buell on this board, my first question is always, "have you ridden one?") The best way to sell Buells is to let people ride them, as they are often pleasantly surprised. marko138 03-24-2007, 12:09 PM Buell gets a lot of flak because their parent company is H-D. It only took on 10 mile ride for me to be hooked. The Firebolt will be my next bike...no exceptions. Gas Man 03-25-2007, 08:33 PM It only took on 10 mile ride for me to be hooked. The Firebolt will be my next bike...no exceptions.
Same for me. When I was young, dumb, and full of.... well you get the point. I use to bash the buells but I opened my mind, then I test rode 2 different models. I was pleasantly surprised. I really like them now. Just as long as you're not talking about straight aways... L48Shark 03-25-2007, 09:11 PM Just as long as you're not talking about straight aways...
:withstupi I've said it before... I get wasted in the straights. But it's fun to pass them back in the next corner. I like to imagine they've got a case of :wtf: going big time at that point.
Of course, now that I think about it, not all of them get me. This vid is a :dupe: but since its on topic, the camera bike is an R6 and I enter the picture from the left. This is the main straight at Hallett (http://www.hallettracing.net) (of course) on my second time there ever and first time running clockwise.

Yeah I wasn't in to them for a long time. I can't stand Harley's so I never really gave them a chance... Then slowly the looks came around to me. And I read up on what they were about. Then the test ride...after that...forget it. pickle.of.doom 03-25-2007, 10:51 PM I ride rice and I also like Buells :)
Mostly because I love the V's though.... marko138 03-25-2007, 10:54 PM I ride rice and I also like Buells :)

I wish I had a chance to ride a TLR or a 51. L48Shark 03-27-2007, 12:54 PM I wish I had a chance to ride a TLR or a 51.
I rode an RC51. Loved it. DLIT 03-27-2007, 01:12 PM I rode an RC51. Loved it.
Better than your Buel. marko138 03-27-2007, 10:47 PM I wish I had a chance to ride a TLR or a 51.
I'd like to ride a 51...I briefly rode a Tiller around the block. It was awesome. L48Shark 03-27-2007, 10:59 PM Better than your Buel.
My feeling was that the 51 would be ideal for the track while the 'Bolt would be ideal for the street. My friend who owns the 51 felt the same way after our (street ride) swap. The 51 has punishing ergos, but spools up fast and has unbelievable stopping power (with a stainless line being the only mod to the braking system). The Buell, meanwhile, was much more real worldly, friendly, comfy, and has killer design so it really gets a lot of looks in traffic. I frequently get :wtf: followed by :dthumb: from cagers. (The kids especially!) I dig it. Gas Man 03-28-2007, 11:02 AM I can totally see that perspective on the 51 vs the Buells saverok 03-28-2007, 04:13 PM :withstupi | |
