So, everyone remember tonight is the spring forward time change. Kinda weird it's so early this year but supposed to help save energy or something :idk:

I'm so confused, my watch says its 3:04, my laptop says its 4:05, and my digital cable box says its 6:35. Also the clock for the forum says its 5:07. What is wrong with technology?

I love the fact that we don't have daylight savings time in Arizona. It's easier to remember not to change clocks.

I wish we could set the clocks forward ANOTHER hour and leave it alone. I love having light to work with in the garage til like 9:00, and I love driving/riding to work in the dark.

Oh the one night that I needed that extra hour.... LOL Yep. This is the first time in a LONG time that I called in sick to work. I woke up to the alarm, said, "hell with it" shut the alarm off and called my manager's voicemail.

The forum time depends on your personal settings. You can tell the forum what time zone you're in, which would affect the time displayed on posts. For instance, here in Indianapolis (Eastern time), it's 5:51pm.

and from looking at the forum clock and the time of my post, forum time is correct as I view it. Check your settings.

It wouldnt matter what time zone tho cus if the time wasnt right on the forum it would be an hour off for everyone right?

Yeah so its wrong. It wouldnt matter what time zone tho cus if the time wasnt right on the forum it would be an hour off for everyone right? Actually, it's correct, as I view it. Go into UserCP and select "Edit Options" on the left menu. Scroll down until you get to "Date and Time Options" then set it for your time zone. If you're in Georgia, then it's (GMT -5:00) Eastern Time...

Do you have it set to automatically detect DST settings? Is your computer set to auto change based on DST as well?

Well it appears that the Reg/Hack for Windows 2000 Pro doesn't work...:cursin: If you change your time then restart your computer and the time resets, then you'll have to change the time in the CMOS in order to get it to set.... just a lil FYI:crazy:

There's also patches from M$ for XP that will fix the DST date. I'm not sure about 2000, but if you're clock's wrong on your computer you either need to set the time manually or go to Windows Update and install the patch to fix the DST date. Just a little FYI...

all i know is that DST sucks, cause back in the fall i put my alarm clock back an hour before i went to bed so i would wake up for work on time. but during the night my clock set its self back another hour so i got up two hours earlier than i had to and got to work at 4 Am when i didnt have to be there until 6. i was so mad.

I got to lazy to change it again (it was a PITA to change it) that was about four years ago... and I still have my clock set two hours ahead in the morning! I tried about a year ago to correct it... and I saw the time... and hit my snooze button and came to work an hour late:bash: Yeah it takes a bit for my thought process to begin in the morning
