CSC Single Sided Swingarm Q?

Whats up everyone, just wanted to see if anyone on here knew if this was a good kit? I've heard people say that single sided swingarms aren't strong and dont hold up well, Is this true? About four months ago I purchased a 2005 Gixxer 1000 and would really like to throw on the 330 SSS from CSC kinda pricey, but i believe you pay for what you get. Anyway hears the description straight from there site..........

Our 330MM conversion is a complete package. We supply both front and rear wheel in any of RC Components forged designs along with both tires. The swingarm comes at 6" over and sports a unique drive side brake setup that adds to the totally custom look. All the sprockets, rear wave rotor, and chains are supplied, along with a set of vortex rear sets. Everything is chrome and comes backed with CSC Inc.'s 3 year chrome warranty.

Standard conversion includes the following:

Billet singe sided swingarm (chromed)
Galfer rear wave rotor
Built in billet caliper (chromed)
Front wheel choice of 18 x 3.5 or 17 x 3.5 23 different ...styles (chromed)
Rear wheel 17 x 12 23 different styles (chromed)
Avon 330/35/vr18 rear tire
Matching front tire
Center cap for rear wheel
Hidden brake line for rear brake
Billet side mount tag bracket chromed
Chrome L.E.D tag light
Chromed Vortex rear sets
Chrome sprocket cover for twin drive
Dual D.I.D. vm 530 gold chain
Polished rear sprocket

All chrome comes with a 5 layer process that hold a 3 year workmanship warranty.

go for it. csc seems to have a good rep, and sss are just as good as traditional when built rite.

What kind of a difference can I expect from the new wider tire? Im pretty sure theres gonna be better balance. And harder to bring the front up.

its gonna handle way dif, its 6 inches longer, so bigger turning radius, and harder to change direction . the tire is almost twice as wide, that huge rim, your gona add alota weight to the bike (compared to stock) harder to change direction (not as flickable) but i doubt you're doin any canyon carving anyway

Yeah im more into just cruising around enjoying the ride :dthumb: Just want to start fixin up my bike gonna order a K&N Filter and a Power Commander for that little extra power, gotta start putting in that over time to afford that kit though!

I dont really know what to tell you but I have priced alot of single sided swingarm kits and all of them are higher than Geiraff booty on top of Mount Everest personally I'd rather find just the kit with out the rims in the combo to temporarily lower the price and leave me open to more rim choices that I havent seen with the advertised kits but never the less I havent found and but I can pretty much guarantee they have to exist. Keep it pimpn rydah!!!
