It has been discussed and decided that we at Wide Open Sportbikes are going to get involved in this year's charity ride in Ann Arbor for the very good cause of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and make a concerted effort to raise money to benefit this cause. Details of fundraising are still being worked out. We have also decided that we would like to extend our personal invitation to any and all that may want to get involved at some kind of level to help this cause in an effort to broaden the overall effort and maximize the end result. However if you do not want to participate with WOS on this I implore you to consider getting involved on an individual basis, with another club or simply making a donation to this worthy cause. I will have a form available for anyone that wishes to collect donations from their friends, co-workers, relatives, etc. that you can print out and use for this type of individual collection effort. We are still discussing possibilities of other types of fundraisers that would involve some form of group effort and if you would like details on that please feel free to contact me. Please feel free to send me any ideas, suggestions, comments, past experiences, information to me for consideration in finalizing the details. Your input would be very much appreciated. Sounds like a great event - as long as the police escort isn't for the wrong reasons :D Be sure to add the event to our event listings.

O yeah, we are going to tear it up. But what I don't understand is howcome more people from here aren't jumping on something like this. It is a great opertunity (sp?) to help out a good cause and show people that sportbikes give back to the community. Too often do we get a bad rep. Just my thoughts and not yours...

We're still growing, there aren't a lot of folks from here that are near this event. I know I'd jump on it in a heartbeat if I wasn't so far away. As far as a bad rap... yes, we do get that. I make it a point to be a courteous and responsible rider to show people that we can be something other than squids out to pull tricks and riding recklessly. That's not to say I don't fun, but there's time and place for everything. :bike:

Oh yeah, if I was near that area, I'd be jumping on that run with you as well. The more opportunity there is to improve our rep, with responsible riding & attitudes, especially with charitable events like this..it can do nothing but be positive

I understand the location hurdle. I was just hoping that with 2WT magazine being based out of Royal Oak, MI that there would be more people here to sign up for what will be a great event.
