is it worth $125?

so i am thinking real hard about picking this mod up for my big yellow vibrator aka street rod. it's a custom designed gauge background. the guy wants $125 for it. it would be the 1st mod for the harley. i don't really have any plans for it other than getting a mini sissy bar/fender base plate for it. other than that i am pretty content with it the way it is. what do y'all think. i think it's hot!!

well i did just dump a pantload of cash into the 636 from the income tax return. right now there is nothing else i desire for that. but that will change, i am sure.

You won't be able to see a damn thing. it's possible that it could be hard to read, but it's not like the speedo is gonna to be going faster than the rest of the bike to cause a blur or anything. also remember that i have the 636 with the digital speedo, so i am used to it being hard to read.

That I can tell you for sure, especially after my recent mods. I can't even shift it fast enough with it trying to take off from under me. Its stupid power now on my chop. Way more around the town power than my 137 hp 9R ever had! :skep: I'll post up my dyno charts later this summer when I get it ran! It may weight alot... but I'm talking around 120hp with 120 lb fts of torque. If I could shift it better, which I'll learn, I bet you I could take most sportbikes off the line. Remember, with my length and weight I'll get a better and full throttle launch! Of coarse I'll get eaten once these inline 4s rev up and get rollin...

GM, you've got that bike that would be well suited for off the line stuff, I mean its got big balls, a long wheelbase and lots of weight to keep the front end planted a little better, oh yeah, and its probably hysterical to watch some of the sportbikers roll up to the next light and look at you like you've gone completely mad when you take off.

King... you're actually right. WIth me new carb setup... I still can't go wideopen on it yet. It just skyrockets towards the short redline. And with my feet and arms out... I can barely hold on. And that is IF the back end don't break looose. And when it gets warmer... I think I'm going to have to go up 1 more notch on the main jet... which then will probably mean MORE POWER!! :yikes:
