A lot has been going on for me the past two weeks that could effect my trip down for the rally. My g/f and I are buying a house and with all the closing cost and money down it's going to be a struggle, but :damn: I better be taking my vacation!

The house is in Camp Hill (Rosmoyne Manner) behind Christ Community Church off Slate Hill Rd and RT15. Its a nice neighborhood....quiet, and mostly old people live back there. I have to drop off my bags anyway.

I'm staying @ the store and will be in Friday afternoon. Let's decide on a Friday evening time at Tapoco and I'll be there.

I don't when or where I will be meeting up with everyone. All I know is I'm staying in the Fontana Village camp ground and I'll be there Wednesday June 6th - Sunday June 10th. I have Rickmancc and his 2 bros coming down with me, however they have room reservations elsewhere.

I'd love to come down to the gap but should probably wait until I have more experience... all in time. I'm certainly up for meeting up with locals though for some group rides.

I am really afraid of seeing a miata in my lane coming around a blind corner. I have had to dodge people by going into their lane to not get hit before. It's ridiculous.

Just thought I would give you that nice warm and fuzzy feeling before you come this way. Word of warning a lot of locals do carry and have a permit to do so.

I sent my boss an email for my vacation time for the Rally and a few extra days at the end of June when I go to closing on the new house to move in, and prep/paint the house. He wrote back saying approved, and congrats again on the house. :dthumb:

I was going to make this a contest, but it just seems like a bad idea and will wind up getting someone hurt. So it will be done all in fun. Go to the overlook, leave your key in the on position (brake lights to warn people behind you not coasting), turn the killswitch or carbed fuel supply off, put your bike in neutral, and coast all the way to tabcat bridge. Talk about funny. You will get passed by harleys at first, but you will get them back at the bottom. :lol:

Dude that was in the lead took the whip fast enoug to kneedrag and turned around after he got through the turn to yell at us behind him and drove straight into the ditch and dropped. Didn't even put a scratch on the bike because he kept it up long enough to almost stop and the ditch was leaf filled and soft. We all stopped and laughed for a good 5 minutes while he was trying to get out of the ditch. Lesson learned, don't be a dumba** and not pay attention to the road.
