Well as most of you know Ive been looking for a bike for a while...a LONG while and the time came abot 3 weeks ago that I finally got permission to get one...the only hitch was it was for the track only. So I found a good deal on a Hyosung GT650S (half price!:yikes: ) and made plans to go buy it :woo: So...two weeks later Im faced with a new decision...get the bike for the track OR...get a brand new '07 Mustang... I opted for the stang :D http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p75/upshift12/Misc/DSCF0352.jpg Not the best pic ever but I like it :idk: Anyways...its a V6 5-speed with 210hp :willy: I just got it yesterday and have been honing my shifting skills ever since and Im getting to where I have smooth start-offs...its just a little different than a bike clutch. But hey who says you HAVE TO have a bike to have fun...:leaving: Bad news...me and a friend just found a ding in the door :cursin: Hopefully I can get it fixed somehow

Man that is funny... I was just talking to the wife about some similar stuff.. We are setup to get 2 new leases this year...later summer. I was planning on getting nicer cars (current 2004 F150 super crew FX4 & 2005 Chevy Equinow AWD) to a new Tohoe (loaded out of coarse) and a Lincoln MKz (obvoiusly loaded). I was telling the wife I would love to get a third bike for the house... a full out HD bagger to put down some seroies miles. Use it to go up north, and maybe some road trips like Chicago and stuff. The wife said... why don't we get cheaper cars and the new bike... My response... why not get the better cars and the bike anyway!

I wish I had money... it's nice to have money, it seems like it can buy you happiness, but in the long-run,,,as long as you have happiness, that is all that counts! (even though money lets you get happiness a lot more ;) ):dthumb:

Ah, the life of a 16 year old with a brand new car. I miss those days. Wait, I never lived those days. My first car was a 1966 Ford Thunderbird in 1991. My second car was a 1983 Toyota Celica in 1993. My third was a 1964 IH Scout in 1995. My fourth was a 1992 Toyota pickup in 1998. My fifth was a 1992 Toyota Corolla in 2001. My sixth was (is) a 1997 Toyota Camry in 2007. My next will probably be a 2003 or 04 pickup purchased in 2010 or 11. I will probably NEVER have a brand new car.

Yeah, but that '66 T-Bird was probably the chit... even if it was all ragged out... I did slightly better... 1996 = 1987 Nissan Pulsar NX (like a Fiero only .1% as cool, but it was real clean)... 1997 = 1989 Chevy Cavalier Z24 drop top (top torn/leaky, drivers door sagged 2" when opened, moldings looked like a washboard, but chicks dug it)... 1997 = 1989 Chevy S10 (clean, 4.3L, smoked the tires everywhere I went... and answered the question 'why do you always get such old cars'... well because I HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM MYSELF!!!)... 2000 = 1990 Honda Accord LX (clean, but I absolutely abused the hell out of it)... 2004 = 1996 Nissan 200SX (point A to point B transportation ONLY)... 2005 = 2002 Ford Ranger XLT (current ride)... :iagree: Yeah, I don't think I could ever justify a purchase that loses 10% of it's value the second you take it off the lot... Meanwhile I could buy a car that's a couple years old, save thousands, and do what I would do with it anyway... Sell it within a few years... Same with a bike... I wouldn't buy the brand new model year on the showroom floor... I would however, buy last year's model if the deal was right... that's only on bikes though... F* cars...

how the hell did u manage without reverse? Easy, parallel park, generally on a hill, but always at then end of the block, so I could just drive away. Was great fun borrowing it to friends w/o telling them about not having reverse. They'd be pissed when they had to push it back away from the curb after diagnal parking. And yes, it did go through a few yards, and some other things too. Dad said we'd get a new car when that one died... I tried everything I could to break it. Even went down a prarie trail that a buddies 86 chevy pickup couldn't make it w/o getting stuck. No dice, that thing kept running. We ended up putting on about 75K AFTER reverse went out of the tranny. Great fun! :dthumb:
