DJNytblaste 05-20-2007, 02:04 PM MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) -- Two law enforcement officers and two civilians were wounded and police said early Sunday morning that they believe they have the shooter cornered in a church.
Police declined to release the condition of the people who had been shot, and few details were immediately available.
David Duke, Moscow assistant police chief, said a city police officer and a Latah County sheriff's deputy were shot late Saturday night or early Sunday morning near downtown.
Two civilians were also shot.
Duke said the victims were shot with automatic weapons.
Dozens of law enforcement officers surrounded the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Moscow, where the shooter or shooters are believed to be, Duke said.
The incident began around 11 p.m. Saturday, when someone began shooting at the Latah County Courthouse, Duke said.
Streets in the area have been barricaded and residents have been told to stay inside their homes.
Moscow, a community of about 20,000 people that is home to the University of Idaho, is located 80 miles south of Spokane, Washington
TOMMYTOM 05-20-2007, 02:30 PM Hopefully they shoot the dude so he doesn't recieve a slap on the wrist- time served for good behavior and back out on the street in 10 years. Whatever his case is- weather he's "temporarily insane" or cause his uncle touched him as a child- whatever- the world is better off without him. Just put a bullet in his head and call it a day. :2cents:

true...but you got to look in to percentages not numbers...because the US has the most population....so it can be easily miscued.
DJNytblaste 05-22-2007, 02:41 PM Believe it or not, the highest density per capita is a little town called Manaco

not looking at percentage...
I was stating that you can't look at the numbers...you have to look at the percentage of deaths not the number of.
that would be the only real way to compare them to.

Not arguing the stats- cuz I don't know... but do you think this is really accurate? or do you think many countries don't keep accurate records? Consider the middle east, Africa, North Korea for example. :idk:

no the stats are right we have the highest NUMBER of deaths....but look in to this too...we have the HIGHEST heart attack deaths...highest car deaths....the highest motorcycle fatalites....the highest....mostly everything...
but when you look at the actual percentage it doesn't reflect that.
the truth is we will always have the highest...because one we have more people then almost everyone...when you are one of the largest countries you will have the highest number of stuff happening....but to actually judge you have to look at the percentage of the population...that is the only way to compare country a) 1 million to country b) 18 billion....

Good point. The reason I had to wonder is think about all the violence in other countries- I realize we have violence too- but ours is minimal in comparison.
