I had one Sgt. in the motorpool (~1985) check the fuel level on a jeep with a Zippo lighter once... :bonk: The immediate scorching of eyebrows, eyelashes and any hair around the circumference of his face was a pretty solid lesson in common sense. it more likely woman who cause fires at gas stations i saw it on mythbusters. If you are wondering why she got shot with the taser (my :2cents: since I come from a law enforcement family) she was resisting arrest (no i didnt have speakers on but could still tell from watching). And in some states (in most now actually) if you resist and you will NOT go down, they do have the rite to tase you to 'control' you to get the cuffs on you. Do they do it a little too often and 'jump the gun' a little..yeah in a lot of cases they do..but....it still gets people to listen.

A cig is not an open exposed flame so it won't ignite gas.
