more of a newb than a squid per say, didnt even know how to quick stop, let alone swerve around the truck.

well he def is when he was talking about "well when you have a hot girl on the back of your bike and weave through traffic at a stoplight just so people can look at the bike more..thats cool" or some crap like that....to bad he didnt get hurt instead of his poor gf

still sounds like more of an unexperienced newb than anything else to me.

there is a fine line between the stupid newb and the squid.

The squid may have a little riding experience, and may even be fairly competent. but there is not hope for him to ever be a respectable rider.

A newb is merely copying what he's seen before or thinks is cool, but still has a chance of being turned into a half decent rider.

Hot chicks in skimpy outfits only look good on parked bikes or bikes in parades (ie sub-10mph)...

**** im thinkin the same thing when i have a hot chick on the back of my ride. I want everybody to see. Its not like im thinking "damn im gonna tear up these twisties with this extra 110 lb dead weight on the back of my bike"...

normal rules for riding dont apply for me when i've got a pair of c cups smooshin my back and two pettite hands on my abs.

albeit im not an idiot, and i also dont wreck my bike.

Well I think they both were being stupid. Even if he is a newb and all it was stupid. Now for the girl she learned her lesson. But you can still be sexy on a bike and still be in full gear. I do it every time I ride and I still look good, and have a little mystery with it. ( love my ruby face shield) lol!

:iagree: I'm always uncomfortable taking people for rides. I'm fully geared up and they just come with a tshirt or w/e... I'd be more comfortable if they were wearing everything I was.

And this line says alot, too:

"riding without frame sliders was pretty retarded and i was also just wearing a t-shirt and jeans... "

It's almost like he thinks it's MORE important to have frame sliders than gear. F'n tard.

First thing that caught my eye was the fact that he said he had gone around all this traffic from the stop light. so more then likely he got in a big @ss hurry.

I agree! I have seen so many bulletins on myspace about 'riders down' and most of them are being completely squidly! How hard is it to put on a helmet, some pads, and have a BRAIN when you get onto a bike.:idk: :bash:

Especially now that it's getting hot enough up here in Boston that it can be uncomfortable to wear gear..

It's like a squid convention :cursin:

Did you guys read his 2nd POST in that thread.

yah i told her to wear a sweater but she wanted to be all sexy or whatever and wear a tank top. and its definitly pretty cool to have a cute girl on the back of ur bike and white-line between cars to the front of the light and have everyone get all excited and check out the bike even more. lol. but yah i defintly wanted to get her some gear. i need to get a riding jacket myself because i really take it easy without proper protective gear, and id like to start actually riding my bike a little bit more aggressive.

I was wondering the same thing... a sweater? WTF? Why would you recommend a sweater rather then a tank top? What the hell is the sweater going to do? Keep her road rash warm? What a tool! :bonk:
