Lets get something together for our man from the Great White North Alaska.. while he's stuck in the Sand Box. Gift card to some of his fast food joints he mentioned.. there's no Taco Bell... there's a Pizza Inn, Subway, and Hot dog stand. on the LSA (Army's Life Support Area) there's a McDonalds, KFC, and a few others... but the DFAC (Dining Facility) food is pretty good. cept you only get actual BEEF once in a while... the rest of the time it's Camel... and NO it doesn't taste the same. :nonod: I got PayPal for whatever we decide...

They most likely will not accept gift cards from the US. Its a TCN contracted. Im pretty sure that they wouldnt know whatto do with em even if they did get em. Maybe something more along the lines of something to flavor the water. Or something that cant be bought there. IE Rice crispy treats, Salt water taffy..Those things are just a few thing i got while i was there...It helped alot. Also maybe something to put on food..IE different kinds of sauce..They have A-1..etc..Just a few ideas from my time there.

We haven't done it for many of the other military peeps that have been there... but we'll start somin new. Well I asked him about the gift card thing and if he could use them... here's what he told me. no I can't... unfortunaly the only gift cards I can use are for AAFES (the store on base) but I appreciate the thought! if you need ideas... Sun Flower Seeds... Koolaid singles or the single packets of Cristal Light motorcycle mags... Maxim, Stuff... ect... and if you can copy DVD's... any motorcycle races or video's you have...

Guess it helps that I landed at the LSA. Motorpool backed right up to the main air strip. I still prefer the Crystal light to the gatorade though.

I dont know i left Iraq in October and there were plenty of FOB's and OP's that didnt have anything. Just like the JCC building i was at in the middle of baquba had a dfac but suicide bomber blew up it up. All it had was frozen **** to microwave anyways. It was a real small place it had a very small prison and the operations building thats it and a wall around the place. We used to have a front gate there as well but a vbied got ride of that so the new gate was an APC that we just moved back and forth. Living we IP's=GAY

I just saw this thread today and I am glad we can do something. Ebbs is cool in my book and he deserves something good over there while we are riding our bikes and having a good time.
