Was out again tonight, nice and cool, and the rain brought a nice fog. I idled home for about a half mile just to take it all in.

i agree. plus sides? like what? i guess its good our rivers and lakes arent flamable any more, or that they've curbed layoffs for a while in the labor industry, and it DOES seem like road construction is moving a little slower this year, so i wont haev to deal with shredded roads and loose asphalt for another couple weeks...

I saw this thread, but still deemed it necessary to make my own because Ohio is just that chitty...

I guess we have the Football Hall of Fame and the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame... Both are worth a look, but neither is good enough to ever see more than once...

Speaking of industry... The Hoover Company is shutting down, which is totally flucking crazy... N. Canton is going to go down the tubes... Then again, I doubt most people there actually work in N. Canton anyway... The real interesting thing about it is that the YMCA there across the street from the Hoover Co (where I have done my fair share of community service ) is probably going to have to shut down too because the building, pool, etc is heated by the exhaust from the machinery or something...

Oh, I just remembered something good about Ohio... We have one of the best zoos in the world AND the best amusement parks...

cedar point blows. I've worked there for charity chit, and let me tell you i will NEVER trust another amusement park. The people that are opperating the rides are hardly edjucated, mostly foreign, under trained, and over worked.

I opperated a couple rides in the kiddy park (snoopy land or something ) and i swear to god i almost killed a few people... had it not been for the big red button to stop the ride i would have killed at least 2 3 year olds and probobly severed an old ladies leg. Granted i was hungover, but they make you work about 13 hours, with 3 breaks. one 45, one 30 min, and one 15 minute. it's rediculous.

The most dangerous rides in the whole park are NOT the roller coasters, they are the small rides. the roller coasters are basically automated and you really cant F them up (although they STILL put volunteers to operate the coasters).

the living conditions up there are horrible as well. tiny dorms with steel bunk beds... ugh. i'll never do that again. i can barely stand that place any more.

which zoo is good? the cincinati zoo or columbus? cause i KNOW you arent refering to the cleveland zoo.

Cleveland is it's own zoo...
Columbus Zoo... Jack Hanna is the man...
Speaking of the zoo, funny story... A LONG time ago my girlfriend at the time talked me into going to the zoo... It actually turned out to be a very cool thing...

Anywho, the gorilla exhibit has outdoor and indoor sections... In the indoor part you get get right up to the glass right next to them, very impressive... While we were there this lady and two little girls (probably 4) were oooing and aaahhhing at the one that was rolling around and acting goofy...

Meanwhile the big male one was sitting in the corner with a bucket on his head... he took the bucket off and started staring at the one little girl who had her face pressed up against the glass... he slowly went around the back of the cage, then in a flash, ran right up to the glass in front of the girl, jumped up, and pounded on the glass crazy hard, then tore ass back over to the corner and put the bucket back on his head. :yikes:

I was a good 3 feet away and it scare the crap out of me... My girl grabbed me really tight... That poor girl fell off the little ledge and was screaming hysterically... The lady picked her up and held her... We were all laughing so hard, half funny laugh and half nervous, gotta change my pants laugh... :slol:

I am totally jealous... You need to get those guys on here... I saw a video one time of one of them stage diving off a balcony... Had to be 30ft up...

This isn't the same one, not nearly as nuts... (it's at the end and due to language it's NWS video)...

And BTW, Corey Taylor has to be the best vocalist I have ever heard... Not only is his scream crazy rough and powerful, but the dude can really sing... He totally doesn't look like he has those pipes though...

The one that you saw stage diving was Sid. He is nuts! He is up there at the same level that I am at with being totally :bonk:  . We have been friends for 13 years almost...I will see if he wants to join. I have fotos of his bikes if you wanna see em. I dont mind posting them up, I know that he wont either. He is mad busy though with getting his new clothing line out, working on his record label, working on a dvd and working to get gigs lined up.

As for Corey: HELL YEAH the guy can sing,,bad thing though with his smoking his voice is going, even for talking. I am so glad that he is doing some SS work and SK is taking time off.

Dont be jealous! If ya wanna talk to me about SK if ya got any ?'s, just PM me (so we dont go off topic TOO much here) and I can answer them for ya.

And on the + side Iowa is sunny and 80 degrees today! On the - side, we are getting rain AGAIN tomorrow and Wednesday.

It is a VERY odd bike to ride. He and I are the only ones that ride it and he doesnt take it out that much. I think it has about 200 miles on it. Yes, it is VERY bouncy to ride, you really have to 'hold tight' when you ride that thing. I wheelied it once and went over a bump in the road..thought I was going to spring myself up into the air. The actual handling of the bike though is great (if you dont mind the more than overdone shocks on it..which I dont know WHY he got them that heavy...:idk: as I say "It's Sid")..you barely have to even turn it at all and it just whips around the corners...I took a normal corner around 40mph on it and barely felt anything.

it is a great bike though:wink:
