I had taken the msf course on april 25th and supposedly i was gettng the certificate and the roadtest waver 2 weeks after. I've yet to get jack shxt. I called the school and i called the motorcycle association of new yor state and all i got was automated menus [i hate thos fxcking things] so today i call and actually get a real person to take the call. They tell me the certificates were mailed may 16th and if i dont get'em today to call bacn and they'll print me out another copy and mail it. One of my friends who had failed the course and took it april 30th hasnt gotten hers either. she calls back and she's told her certificate was mailed may 3rd? i've called the post office and i've checked my mailbox every day since i finished the course and nothing. what kind of b.s is this? i finish the course before her and they mail hers 13 days before mine? which leads me to believe they're bullshxtting the both of us. So i've been sitting here not riding for this long because of some fxcking dumbass who couldnt do their job right. :cursin: :wbs:

Just out of curiousity, can't you just go down to the DMV and take a written test to get your temps... Here in Ohio it's like $20 and a 25 question test...

you need your permit to take the msf. the msf is a waver to the road test and then u take that certificate to the DMV with the permit and they give you the license.

i didn't know the msf was a waiver to the road test. i only took it for the insurance discount (columbus, OH 1994) i think i received my card from the instructor at the last day of classes. -a|ex

Yea here in GA they waive the written n road test if you've passed the MSF BRC ($250), but atm I just have my temps too they were just $10 n good for six months. I will prolly go take the road test this week or next tho, cops just make me nervous lol P.S. just FYI I've rode fer many years w/o lic which I know was 'squidly which is why I am taking my tyme this go around n doing it the 'correct' way. 8).

i got the card @ the end of the course, here in ny they're supposed to mail you a certificate which is what you send to the insurance company, as well as a roadtest waiver portion which you take to your dmv with your calss D license and permit to get your M endorsement put on it.

It depends on what state that you are in. I know that they do here in NY though... I originally got mine in Germany, but then when I got my USA licence, I had to go through SO many hoops. First I had to take the road test, no biggie passed 123...then the bike test..once again,,passed it easily,,,then my "instructor" was asking me if it was going to be an issue of me reading English signs (udder moron as you can tell my english is damn good for someone who grew up in Germany)..and the whole time I was talking to him in English, doing the writtens in English etc...the guy was nuts ... he made me take a 'special sign' test to make sure I could read in english before giving me the papers that I passed.
