where my girlz at?

just a little shout out to rae, pippi, nee and all the rest of the "rocket girlz" on here. hope y'all are getting some seat time, now that summer has unofficially started. school will soon be out for my girls, so that means i'll hafta get creative with carving out time for me to ride. i will be sure to make time though. holla back and let me know what y'all are up to. :hug:

Just workin' my butt off... work's been CRAZY lately (get new stuff piled on me just about weekly :lol:). Been ridin' as much as possible, but right now we're in windy season (not to mention the air quality here is horrific with all the brushfires throughout the state), so I haven't logged as many miles lately as I'd like to. And in my 'free time,' I'm one of three people putting together a benefit ride for a friend who was killed in a motorcycle crash last year (we did a ride to benefit his twin babies last year, and we set up a trust for them, so we're trying to make it an annual event). :dthumb: So what've YOU been up to??

i haven't been up to much here lately. just the usual. i watch my sister's kids in the morning until 11:30. then i get my youngest off to school. that's usually when i get a chance to ride. i get a 2-1/2 hour window until i pick the kids up at 2:30. i got out today for a bit finally. i feel like i am short on leisure time, and it's gonna get shorter with school letting out soon. my hubby took a new position at work, so i have had to adapt to a new schedule there. he went to 3rd shift mainly with the ocassional swing shift. so it is usually changing. and i took a part time job at my Curves in feb. of this year. so i work there on mon/wed/fri nights. summer is here and i feel like i don't have time to enjoy it. i guess i just need to get into a routine. maybe things will smooth out a bit. we'll see. i miss having the freedom to just go, but i do love being a mom. those wildfires you are having in FL are just nuts! are they getting better? good job on the benefit ride. you're a good person for doing that.

Hey girls, I'm out of school for the summer and workin my ass off at a coffee shop. On the few days that I have off, I'm either doing photo shoots or chores and such getting ready for next year. I've been riding to work and I got to ride up north this weekend so I'm still getting seat time in! :) I'm already getting the urge to upgrade the bike though. I sat on a bunch of bikes today while my boyfriend was looking at dirtbikes and I accidentally fell in love with the GSXRs. So comfy, the cbr600 felt really huge and heavy to me for some reason. It's a hectic time, good luck getting everything worked out so you can ride! :dthumb:

whew, what havent I been doing lately!!! :lol: Been crazy busy with the new job and with summer here have plans ALL the time!! Speaking of wildfires, we had one right down the road from my house!! :yikes: They evacked the area and wouldnt let us go home for hours!! It was super scary, all my fur babies were in the house!! But it all turned out okay in the end, no houses were burned , just trees, but the air here has been disgusting too... Been riding as much as I can, gearing up for the Gap NEXT WEEK!! :woo: I am psyched!! Got my gf Mari riding more and more as well, she got a gsxr a few weeks ago, we got it lowered and sliders on so I took her out Sunday night, been taking my friend Melime out too...been going to the water park out here every Sunday after our rides, some early morning rides, evening rides, hanging out...lordy, just too much to mention!! And I caught my first Bee this weekend, with my Boob!! It friggin still hurts!!! I was wearing my jacket but had it zipped down, the booger slammed into the left side at what felt like Mach speed!! I caught up to him rear first apparently! :lol:

Don't really fit in the all girls category but thought I'd check in as well.Been a while since I've been on trying to get through finals and finally get that degree :) Yay!! Anyhow, still in the market for a new bike. I've been traveling non stop with AGV Sport and haven't been at home for a weekend in about 2 months, finally have a weekend I can even get the chance to go look at bikes. Hope to catch up with you itgirl and rocketgal in PA sometime soon. Right now I'm pretty sold on Suzuki's and after I hit the dealer show in Vegas this month I'll know I made the right choice :) :wink:

I haven't been able to ride for pleasure in several weeks...I have been riding to work to save gas and parking. Every weekend I don't have my son, I'm in Kansas visiting Jon, so my bike sits in the garage lonely, unless I'm going to work. As soon as Jon gets back from over seas we're planning to go to the dragon...so at least I have some ride time to look forward to.
