It's amazing how many more nooks and crannies this thing has compared to my Ninj... Naked is lovely... AND A PAIN IN THE ASS TO CLEAN!!!
After taking off the reflectors, passenger crap, and adjusting the suspension... I also took off the rear hugger/belt guard... IMO the guard is only to keep passengers feet out of the belt (afterall, with the belt rotating in that direction, nothing is going to get sucked into it) and the hugger didn't really do chit to stop the dirt/water... hell, it was cleaner than my undertail!!! That being said, black bike = no more riding in the rain.

Brizz 06-04-2007, 12:07 PM NICE! About time you got these up. You can ride in teh rain still, just get some plexus, and a soft rag..It will clean up very nice.
You may regret getting rid of the hugger in the rain. Rooster tail your back pretty damn good. Shorten that fender and you will be good to go.
Rider 06-04-2007, 12:10 PM PB is blocked but I know what they look like. And yeah black nakeds suck to keep clean but they look  when they are all polished up.

The body panels are easy... It's all the textured plastic stuff that is a pain... Little tiny places where you can't get a finger in, but you can see dirt... :cursin: I was out there with a toothpick wrapped in a rag... It was ridiculous...

My ass got totally soaked anyway... These things throw up a lot of wet... Remember when you rode your bicycle through puddles as a kid? Yeah, that's how the back of my jacket and ass looked like yesterday... That being said, I am going to avoid the rain at all costs...
PB is blocked but I know what they look like. And yeah black nakeds suck to keep clean but they look  when they are all polished up.
Myspace blocked? I am uploading pics on there in a second...

Yeah thats blocked too. :cursin:
OneSickPsycho 06-04-2007, 12:22 PM So I took off all the stickers, but there are two of these... One has the VIN, mfg date, and whatnot on it and the other has other crap on it... Should I take these off too? They are barely visible so they aren't bothering me, but I'd like to get rid of them at the same time... I figure it won't matter because the VIN is stamped onto the frame... :idk:
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/****/onesickpsycho/IM000154.jpg
Just got off the horn with State Farm... 500cc to 1200cc is an extra $98/year... and she said that it will probably go down because they are readjusting their rates! I love SF!!!

I never understood that... What exactly can they steal from me?
Brizz 06-04-2007, 12:39 PM Well your bike for starters..If they got the bike they could retitle it. Or turn it to a track bike where it would never be seen again...LOL
Rider 06-04-2007, 12:42 PM Well your bike for starters..If they got the bike they could retitle it. Or turn it to a track bike where it would never be seen again...LOL
I wouldnt be worried about that at my house, They would have to get through a locked garage, a big dog and a 12 guage shotgun to get to my bike. :dthumb:
OneSickPsycho 06-04-2007, 12:48 PM Well your bike for starters..If they got the bike they could retitle it. Or turn it to a track bike where it would never be seen again...LOL
So if they got the bike that has the plates already on it and the VIN # stamped into the frame... What the hell would they need pictures from the internet for?
jmat2407 06-04-2007, 12:54 PM they use the picture to get the info then use that info to get your address and jsut about w/e else info on you they want, now they have your info and can find out where the bike is located to steal it
PlayfulGod 06-04-2007, 02:02 PM Dont forget n get SHOT!!
Sweet bike OSP!! :dthumb:

nothing more then anyone of the thousands of people that see your plate as your out and about :idk: besides your plate says F--k The World
bike is looking sweet, i love the all black look :dthumb:
NONE_too_SOFT 06-04-2007, 04:52 PM eighty one for the win.

ceo012384 06-04-2007, 05:05 PM Hey, nice new ride OSP!!
I like how the Buells use the rim-mounted brake disc, looks cool. How's the braking power compared to a normal setup?
dim_sum 06-04-2007, 05:06 PM Do they make a chain conversion for these?
OneSickPsycho 06-04-2007, 10:11 PM they use the picture to get the info then use that info to get your address and jsut about w/e else info on you they want, now they have your info and can find out where the bike is located to steal it
And that's different then the 10 or so people that see me ride my bike up into my apartment how? They can get my info anywhere...
nothing more then anyone of the thousands of people that see your plate as your out and about :idk: besides your plate says F--k The World

No chit! That's the plate they gave me... :idk: I wish it said 80FTW though because that's the year I was born... I have been trying to find an association between myself and the number 81... About the best I have got is Ate One Fluck The World... That's kinda lame.
eighty one for the win.
:wtf: does that mean?
hey yea, osp can i have the honors of fixxin you up a catchy new sig, i havent fired up PS in a while.
Sure, I was going to screw around with it, but go for it... I really like my old one, but the lettering isn't the best... Maybe something darker to match the bike better... Silver/grey flames?
Hey, nice new ride OSP!!
I like how the Buells use the rim-mounted brake disc, looks cool. How's the braking power compared to a normal setup?
I don't have a whole lot of experience with too many brakes, but I can tell you this... It blows my old bike away... but that shouldn't be a surprise.
Do they make a chain conversion for these?
Yup... Fluck that though...
Why would you want to do that? It's a zero maintenence belt. No adjustment, no replacing....EVER! And you dont get the drive line lash of a chain.
:withstupi However the lash is minimized on the chain conversion with an idler sprocket...
you make belts seem so great, its a wonder 99% of companys dont utilize a belt.
double post
Width is a big issue...
I guess it works for a bike that doesn't red line high. I don't think that set up would work on a 14,000+ rpm bike.
I don't see why not...
marko138 06-04-2007, 10:19 PM  that cracked me up
yea they make chain conversions, which seem to be manditory for the racing classes. Plus buell just released the XBRR swingarm which is setup for chaindrive and adjustable axle, also the XBRR front caliper, slipper clutch, and ohlins steering damper. According to the newest Fuell magazine anyhow :readng:
The XBRR is insane. I didn't know the RR had a slipper.
OneSickPsycho 06-04-2007, 10:29 PM The XBRR is insane. I didn't know the RR had a slipper.
They have one at the local dealer... It's pretty sick looking... Carbon fiber EVERYTHING.

Yeah right... It had a sign on it that said DO NOT TOUCH... The only bike in the place that you weren't allowed to sit on... Maybe I'll ride up there this weekend and take a pic or two of it... It was crazy sick.

I would leave it there... it's like the origin sticker on the doorjamb of a car... with info and mfg date. I wouldn't eff with it for resale purposes, etc.
Just my :2cents:

I am suprised Buell hasn't gone to a digital dash yet, and for that big of a bike the speedo doesn't go up all that high.:2cents:

Yeah, I will stop up there this weekend to take pics for youse guys to drool over...
Absolutely sweet freakin bike!
Belts started to be used by HD to eliminate chain noise.
revs have NOTHING to do with it! Those revs are completely irrelivant once the power goes thru the tranny!!!
cough...um... NO
My chop runs a belt!! And it puts down like 117hp and 117 torque. And besides, its the torque that will eat up belts not horsepower!
Leave them on. Those aren't that bad and they are hidden near the neck.
:thx2:
The pics and the bike look great!

My thoughts exactly. The only difference is that there may be people who specifically look for this stuff on the internet giving them a better chance than randomly seeing your bike in a parking lot. But any bike thief in your city can spot your bike in a parking lot and take it if they wanted to, so I wouldn't worry TOO much about it.
As for removing the sticker on the frame, I probably wouldn't if it has the VIN # on it. I would remove all other stickers, though.

yea stupid internet thugz. for extra saftey my girlfriend and I both keep our bikes in the livingroom...... sometimes i wonder if they hump each other when we are gone :skep:
bowb4me 06-15-2007, 05:55 PM i would leave the stickers, some states are real particular about these items. might save you alot of trouble in the future. i couldn't register my ole shovel head in fla because the frame wasn't numbered only the motor. harley didn't start stamping thier frames until aorund 68' i think. i have an older frame with a 75 fxe motor in it and the title is numbered off my crankcase. alabama has no problem registering it though. just my :2cents:
btw bike looks very good.
