TWF Rally 07 DVD

Rally participants get me your addresses, so I can send you the DVD. If you have a DVD burner and live next to other participants, I will send you a copy and you can burn it for them. I was able to finish it tonight and burned the first copy. It includes: Florida 4's run fpzx's run NTS' run drewpy's run Coast Racing Wet T-Shirt Contest and the bonus scene not seen on TWF: Rae all wet

It would be sweet to get multiple people there with cameras and whatnot, then put it all into one badazz video... I would imagine with that much footage editing would take quite a while, plus there might be a need to go to dual layer discs... It could be totally killer though...

I wanted to do all that, but all the fast runs came in a very short period of time and I didn't get a chance. We did it all right before checkout time on sunday morning, so I didn't get a chance to do it. I want to get a chatterbox system and be able to talk during runs and have the mic hooked into the system. That would be spectacular. That would be cool... I guess the fast runs will have to come sooner in the trip... Perhaps Saturday? That gives people some time to get acquainted to the hill and enough time to get post ride interviews and whatnot... I was thinking that you could playback the video for the rider and record their comments (not video record though)... Or even have a designated commentator for those who did not want to comment on their own (or everyone's?)... Someone who speaks well, has a good voice, etc... I would think that only the fly commentary could be good background filler (think - "OH CHIT" moments and whatnot), but I'd be skeptical of sound quality and ambient sounds...:idk: Another option, albeit the total flustercuck method would be to get all the video together and have people record their own commentary through their PC's after the trip... I like this idea, have a big gathering in Tapoco Lodge lobby and have everyone watch the vids on the big screen and catch their reaction and ask the rider questions. We would need two minidv cams for it though. One to record the reaction and another to play the tapes on the tv.

I am probably too lazy to swap tapes... Perhaps you would be the designated 'hot lap videographer' and I will be the commentary guy... You are faster than me anyway, and by next year you will surely still be ahead of me... Either way I think we can get something really cool together... I am thinking we can both record group rides and whatnot...

I know you would have to get a pretty big hard drive to get the type of quality I wanted out of my videos to make it last all day that would of just been outrageous in price compared to what I got my Canon for.

Or just say fluck it and get the 60gb version... Those are crazy pricey... Perhaps I can get the 20gb and hack it... :idk: Maybe I will just go cheaper and get the miniDV... :lol:

Because you would have to empty your hard drive every night. Tapes I can just throw in my luggage and forget about til I get home. Pros and cons to both, I ended up with miniDV because I wanted to go the cheap route.

Ok I will let you know, I ran into some trouble with the pack of dvdrs I bought to try to burn them and they wont work with my burner. So I need to try and see if I can get them exchanged. So I have yet to send any out.

DVDs were sent yesterday to everyone who went to the rally that sent me their address. I missed out on a priceless burn, I saw these envelopes in Charleston over the weekend that looked like porn envelopes and said things like sheep lovers and other nasty things on each one. I was going to use them to send the DVDs out with, but I had already gotten the postage on the regular envelopes. I was going to put JLBusa's name on the DVD I sent Rae with one of the porn envelopes. That would of been priceless to see that reaction. Wish I would of saw them sooner.
