smileyman 06-27-2007, 08:49 PM OK so I missed it this year. Well I made it to the Dragon at least just weeks earlier than you guys (my trip coincided with the Arkriders.com trip by chance!) But I really wanted to meet all you folks and get to know you. So I am trying to plan early, get all my ducks in a row so I can make it next year!
june 6th is the rally date, most are getting there the week leading up to and leaving the sunday after.

OK so I'm going to do everything in my power to end up down there next year. What does everyone usually do? June 6 is a Friday. Come down Monday, leave Sunday or come down Wednesday or Thursday and leave Sunday? Is there 1 place everyone stays or does each person find their own place?
It's up to the individual to pick how long he/she wants to stay. I have heard some people saying they are coming the full week, while others will just do a couple days. I will probably show up wednesday night and stay through sunday this next year. You can stay wherever you want, but the location of the dinner is at Tapoco Lodge and a good number of us are staying there.

Thanks Trip. I think I'll probably do the same. How far in advance do you have to book a room for the lodge? Hopefully I get down there at the end of August so next year I'm not the newbie and pull a Drewpy.

Drewpy wasn't a newbie, he has been here a couple times before. It's not a road you want to take for granted. Many many locals, some of the best, have gone down on it.

:iagree: Yep, Drewp can ride. ANYONE can go down on that road. Pics and vids don't do it justice.

:iagree: I just had to poke some fun since I'll be the one next year. Except I would have layed there and cried about crashing my bike. I wouldn't have gotten back on and finished the run.
