Right now (EST) on Nightline they did a whole segment on Twinkies!!! How they came about, original ads, did you know there are 39 ingredients in a Twinkie? Anyone else catch it? Or watch Nightline if it hasn't come to you westerners yet. All I could think of was my TWF Twinkie Hottie!!! :)

Correction, not wrapped in pastry, but coated in a flour/sugar mixture... here's a recipe: 1/4 cup flour 1/4 cup powdered sugar 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 6 ounces club soda 10 Snickers miniature candy bars deep frying oil 1. Mix all ingredients except candy bars. 2. Coat snickers bars. 3. Deep fry 3 minutes. 4. Drain on paper towels.
