PiZdETS 07-05-2007, 01:09 PM Allright, everybody rep playful god. He's a badass and a cool guy who let me use his bandwidth to be able to upload stuff for you guys.
Go here and download what you'd like (http://techygeek.com/~PiZdETS/). So far I've uploaded the dvd rip of "Twist of the Wrist" a really good tutorial on riding by keith code, it goes well with his books. It's 1.5 gigs. :yikes:
http://img457.imageshack.us/img457/1121/twsitcoverme1.th.jpg (http://img457.imageshack.us/my.php?image=twsitcoverme1.jpg)
Also uploaded the Assen motogp race, I'll be uploading motogp races as I get them, hopefully the same day they air usually. I'll post in here to let you know when I do.
Other vids; BBC Isle of Man TT 2006 documentary, MotoGP Head to Head DVD rip- tells about some of Motogp's geatest rivalries through the years including wayne rainey, schwants, rossi and biaggi and more.
http://a.photos.cx/2135-ef1.jpg
Media-fuelled rivalries, on-bike battles and off-track fights have been a feature of MotoGP for decades. Here, the most intense clashes between championship series riders are shown along with candid interviews from those involved.
Sparks fly between arch-rivals Kevin Schwantz and Wayne Rainey in the seven years they graced the World Championship stage. Although they are now friends, their animosity spurred them to push their machines ever faster prompting the wheelies, twitches and powerslides that summed up the era of powerful, super-lightweight GP bikes.
Mick Doohan and Alex Criville also cross swords on the circuit, forming a highly entertaining sight as they nudge each other aside for the lead. Olivier Jacque and Shinya Nakano scrapped for seven months before the last lap of the World Championship, finishing within hundredths of a second for first and second place.
Valentino Rossi and Max Biaggi did little to hide their mutual dislike for each other, and the added pressure of the World Championship title led to fierce jostling on the track - endangering both at 200mph!
These champion riders give frank opinions of their former rivals, providing a rare, entertaining glimpse into the world of these masters of MotoGP.

When you guys download stuff, I'd like to know how you like it. If you like a vid let me know, if you don't let me know. If you have any requests let me know, I can get some AmA races, all WSB and BSB races and several superstock series. In general I'd just appreciate if playfulgod got props whenever you download something from there.
I get F1, top gear and a few other things for me but this is a bike forum so.... :idk:

PiZdETS 07-06-2007, 09:29 PM Aight duders, just added a recap of this years 2007 Senior Isle of Man TT races. *JOHN MCGUINNESS* cough...
btw, anyone know where I can get a replica of his brown and black helmet? I want...
Also uploaded something I found which I thought was pretty darn cool. An intro to tig welding.
It's step by step, demonstrated by an old pro. After watching it I'm not comfortable welding a frame or anything but I feel, in a pinch, I'd be less than horrific at it.

There are TONS more codecs than divx. most dvd rips use odd ones.
I use this, the k-lite codec pack (http://www.free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Codec_Pack_download.htm) also includes "media player classic", a lighter, faster, more capable media player than wmp. I can play all the vids with no problems whatsoever, I'm positive you just need to download that codec pack, restart and you'll be all set.
You can disable the media player if you prefer to continue using wmp. :dthumb:
jtemple 07-09-2007, 01:04 PM I installed the full K-Lite codec pack and twist of the wrist still has no audio. I'll re-download the isle of man video. I deleted it earlier.
jtemple 07-09-2007, 01:12 PM Weird, it seems to be working now. The audio dies if I try to skip to a different part of the video using the slider, however.

That's definately odd, did you restart after installing? Are you using media player classic instead of windows media player? should solve your problems.
Sorry for all the hassle duders, thought everyone would be up to date on the codecs and practices of modern day piracy :jacked:
jtemple 07-09-2007, 01:27 PM I don't do video work much. I have WMP and Winamp. Both will play it. WMP loses the audio if I try to move the slider. Winamp stops altogether. I'll try media player classic.

I uninstalled wmp a loooong time ago. They had one update which was going to verify where I got my mp3's from and I said F that.
I use winamp to play .nsv files and that's about it. Media player classic handles everything else like a champ, even .mov files. :dthumb:
edit; duh, I also use winamp to play my 7,000+ mp3's.

The only reason I use it for video files is because I like the little popup video screen you can get in the lower right-hand corner with WMP minimized. It makes it easier to watch video at work. :dthumb:
I haven't run into any issues with the MP3 verification you speak of, and I do plenty of MP3 work.

WMP does actually have a pretty get ripper, I was surprised. I use recordnow deluxe to burn cd's and dvd's and I don't really rip cd's. Stopped buying them long ago.
I would probably use that wmp thing you're talking about if I ever had a chance to get on a comp at work. It's a good thing I don't, I wouldn't get chit done.
Glad media player classic worked for ya, spread the gospel. It also automatically updates all the new codecs without you having to prompt, super handy. It also streams media just like wmp.

You guys are going to get to see some good coverage of the race, eurosport baby! The commentators actually know wtf they're talking about and the whole race is presented better than abc or speed imo. I'll make another post here when it's finished uploading.
edit; started uploading about a half hour ago. Torrents + broadband + lots of seeders = good :dthumb: Got the race in a little over 10 minutes.

It's uploading to the ftp at around 80 kb/s now, should be done in about 2-3 hours.

It's big, 900 some mb's but it's worth it-trust me. The colors jump off the screen and the pre-race stuff is damned cool and informative. One of the most exciting, edge of your seat races of the season.
DO NOT spread this ftp or this file to other forums, TWF only folks.

PiZdETS 07-22-2007, 05:37 PM Forgot to mention I posted the Assen round of MotoGP a couple weeks back, best race of the season so far imo.
You guys asked for AMA races so I started looking, turns out all the AMA races I've been seeing around on the trackers are mostly motorcross or supercross, can't find hardly any superbike racing. :idk:
I'm uploading "AMA Motorcross Round 5" for anyone that wants it. I've always believed "Dirts for Potato's, Asphalts for racing!"
I'm adding the K-Lite codec pack that enabled you to watch everything I upload.
I can get World Superbike and British Superbike if anyone wants.
I'll be uploading todays US grand prix as soon as I get it. Going out for a ride now, that race got me pumped. :dthumb:
PiZdETS 07-23-2007, 01:30 AM Uploading yesterdays Motogp Laguna Seca race. Unfortunately the Fox feed was all I could get my hands on. It's only 400 megs and the hosts speed has increased quite a bit for all you people with 3rd world internet connections. :dthumb:
Should be finished in about an hour and a half.
I'm downloading yesterdays AMA Supersport race which was also held at laguna and I'll be uploading that tomorrow.
Here's the link again. (http://techygeek.com/~PiZdETS/)
I want to stress again, DO NOT share this link with other forums or people. If you want to download the files and rehost them yourself that's cool but otherwise keep it quiet and don't mention where you got them.
Crazy250 07-23-2007, 01:34 AM thanks, will DL at work tm...
getting 7Kbps rite now :damn:
PiZdETS 07-23-2007, 10:55 AM ATTENTION
The files have been moved here. (http://techygeek.com/~PiZdETS/downloads/)
It's just in the downloads folder which you can still easily get to from the other posted links but that's the direct link.
Rider- thanks for my second star. Really glad you guys are enjoying the files.
The AMA races are being downloaded pretty slowly so it will be a while before they're done. I'm downloading the eurosport feed of the laguna motogp race and I'll be uploading that so we actually have a GOOD version to watch with commentators who know WTF they're talking about from a network that takes few ad breaks. :dthumb:

PiZdETS 07-24-2007, 07:15 AM The EuroSport MotoGP Laguna Race is up. It's 800 megs and TOTALLY worth the time and space.
World class, documentary like coverage, extremely knowledgable commentators, none of the bull fox promo popups or cutaways from the race to talk about brakes, Randy Mamola doing interviews in the pits and running commentary throughout the race, TONS of pre show with cool info about the track and biker mecha that is laguna, NONE of the race edited out, etc etc.
If all you saw was the fox version, you didn't really see the race. It's that good guys.
Oh ya and the opening CG is some of my favorite from all of television or movies.
Also uploaded the Laguna AMA Supersport and Superbike races held on the same day. Definately got to get to laguna next year, some awesome racing. :yikes:

PiZdETS 07-29-2007, 07:23 PM Uploading "Bike Havoc"
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s2/pizdetss/5211.jpg
The ultimate 'Havoc' for bike fans featuring over 160 incidents. Action comes from various on and off-road bikesports including the road race GPs, drag racing, the Le Touquet and Southport beach races, trials and the Paris Dakar rally. The latter provides some catastrophic prangs! Our cast includes stars of the calibre of Randy Mamola, Christian Sarron, Dave Thorpe, Wayne Gardner, Sito Pons, Kevin Schwantz, Eddie Lawson, and Ron Haslam to name but a few, all featured at high speed both on and off their bikes. Hold on tight!
I watched some of it and there's some amazing crashes, none of them look deadly, just entertaining. Should be done in about 2 hours.
I'm downloading the Faster MotoGP movie from a couple years back. I'm trying to find the sequel "Faster and Faster 03 and 04" which was included with the DVD. PiZdETS 07-30-2007, 05:07 PM Okay, DTK.avi is up, that's the The Doctor, the Tornado, and the Kentucky Kid: The Sequel to "Faster". 1.5 gigs, hour and 30 minutes or so. Really great movie, awesome for those laguna fans, very technical view of the track.
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s2/pizdetss/51ANHWWZ1TL._SS500_.jpg
The Doctor, the Tornado & the Kentucky Kid is another motorcycle-racing feast served up by Mark Neale, the director of Faster. Where the earlier film focused on an entire season of MotoGP racing, DTK limits its coverage to the Red Bull Grand Prix at Laguna Seca, California, held over the weekend of July 8-10, 2005. This was the seventh and most hotly anticipated race of the '05 season, not only because Laguna Seca is one of MotoGP's most technically demanding and physically intimidating race courses, but also because it was the first MotoGP race held on American soil since 1994 (evidence of the sport's European emphasis and the efforts of corporate sponsors like Red Bull to popularize MotoGP in the U.S.). Like Faster, this film and its DVD bonus features are aimed squarely at established fans of MotoGP, but potential converts will find plenty to enjoy in Neale's comprehensive coverage of the 32-lap race. And, as any fan can tell you, the title refers to the nicknames of the riders who were key figures on that sunny afternoon: American Nicky "The Kentucky Kid" Hayden on his lightning-fast #69 Repsol Honda; American Colin "The Texas Tornado" Edwards on his #5 Camel Yamaha; and the Italian reigning champion, Valentino Rossi (Edwards' teammate), on his #46 Camel Yamaha.
American challenger John "Hopper" Hopkins is also prominently featured on his #21 Rizia Suzuki, but DTK doesn't flinch from the harsher aspects of a motorsport where success is never guaranteed. Thanks to the film's all-angle coverage of on-track rivalries, it's clear that Edwards and Rossi were the race's undeniable highlight, battling ferociously in the final laps while Hayden was in the lead. With celebrities in the crowd (including cycle fans Brad Pitt and Adrien Brody) and racing enthusiast Ewan McGregor once again providing dramatic narration, Neale's film suffers from occasional lapses in hi-def image quality (owing in part to video-feed static and the unavoidably harsh contrasts of sunny weather), but interviews and voice-overs from the riders keep things interesting from start to finish, along with a throttle-roaring 5.1 Surround soundtrack (with pulsing techno music by TomandAndy) that's the next best thing to being there.
Also, 20 minutes left until; Faster. Just the first movie, not the sequel about the 4 stroke changeover. Still a really great flick.
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s2/pizdetss/61MA6WKXSYL._SS500_.jpg
Even if you've never witnessed the intensity of MotoGP motorcycle racing, Faster will take your breath away. It's a perfect primer for newcomers, offering a comprehensive survey of the fastest sport on two wheels, and it's guaranteed to satisfy hardcore fans with its detailed history, profiles of the top riders from the 2001-02 seasons, highlights of spectacular crashes and unforgettable races, and a veritable feast of the best MotoGP cinematography you're ever likely to see. From front-and-rearview cycle cameras to swooping overhead track coverage, filmmaker Mark Neale immerses the viewer in the MotoGP experience, enhancing the adrenaline-pumping visuals with expert interviews and commentary (and cool, low-key narration by globetrotting cycle-lover Ewan McGregor) that any sportswriter would consider authoritative.
Literally and figuratively, a lot of ground gets covered: From Kenny Roberts and the late Barry Sheene discussing their innovative knee-dragging styles and the origins of rear-wheel steering to the colorful rivalry of Max Biaggi and reigning champion Valentino Rossi (including Biaggi's infamous "Elbow Incident" at Suzuka in 2001), Faster never loses sight of the human element that makes this ultra-dangerous sport so fascinating. Track physician "Dr. Costa" is profiled (and offers some eloquently philosophical thoughts about MotoGP riders), along with innovative rider Garry McCoy (plagued by injuries); former champion Wayne Rainey (now paraplegic and active in kart-racing); young prodigy John Hopkins in his rookie season; and several other prominent figures in the world of MotoGP.

Check your temporary internet folder, should still be there unless you cleared your history. You sure you didn't just save it someplace weird? Look in documents in the start menu or do a search for all .avi files modified in the last 2 days, ignore all the porn you'll find.

To play them on your dvd player you'll need an .iso file maker and a dvd burner or else pg can do this beforehand, kind of a hassle. You'll have to add the proper encoding to get it to play.
Seems like the easiest option is to wait a while until they upgrade the host or just let the file download overnight.

I have it in physical version and it's damned good, some of the principles from volume 1 are continued. I'll upload volume 1 if I come across it. :dthumb:
I also recommend the twist of the wrist video which I previously uploaded, really great vid on riding that illustrates some things better than can be done in text format.

I don't care what you think of the racing, save that crap for the motogp threads and don't tell people "not to waste your time".
This is about downloading the races, not about what you thought.
Also- you FAIL at making a coherent statement, let alone sentence.

PiZdETS 08-03-2007, 10:21 PM In case you don't want to search through this behemoth of a thread to see what's on the ftp, here's a recap of what all is currently on there. (http://techygeek.com/~PiZdETS/downloads/)
So far I've uploaded the dvd rip of "Twist of the Wrist" a really good tutorial on riding by keith code, it goes well with his books. It's 1.5 gigs. :yikes:
http://img457.imageshack.us/img457/1121/twsitcoverme1.th.jpg (http://img457.imageshack.us/my.php?image=twsitcoverme1.jpg)
Also uploaded the Assen motogp race,
Other vids; BBC Isle of Man TT 2006 documentary, MotoGP Head to Head DVD rip- tells about some of Motogp's geatest rivalries through the years including wayne rainey, schwants, rossi and biaggi and more.
http://a.photos.cx/2135-ef1.jpg
There's also the sport riding techniques pdf I uploaded the other day and a PDF on turboing by a pro.
Aight duders, just added a recap of this years 2007 Senior Isle of Man TT races. *JOHN MCGUINNESS* cough...
Also uploaded something I found which I thought was pretty darn cool. An intro to tig welding.
It's step by step, demonstrated by an old pro. After watching it I'm not comfortable welding a frame or anything but I feel, in a pinch, I'd be less than horrific at it.
Just uploaded an Australian show on this years Goodwood Festival of Speed. Tons of classic vintage and state of the art supercars, racing cars and Troy Bayliss is there with his WSB machine along with Roy Corser. :dthumb:
The Sachsenring MotoGP race is up!!!!
The filename is MotoGP 2007-10 Germany Sachsenring 800cc Race Xvid Eurosport English by DennisF1.avi
It's big, 900 some mb's but it's worth it-trust me. The colors jump off the screen and the pre-race stuff is damned cool and informative. One of the most exciting, edge of your seat races of the season.
Forgot to mention I posted the Assen round of MotoGP a couple weeks back, best race of the season so far imo.
The EuroSport MotoGP Laguna Race is up.
:yikes:

Okay, DTK.avi is up, that's the The Doctor, the Tornado, and the Kentucky Kid: The Sequel to "Faster".

Though we've all probably read the equivalent of war and peace many times over in the time we spend on here.

PiZdETS 08-05-2007, 10:06 PM Allright everybody, I uploaded my favorite piece of motorcycling media of all time. The Long Way Round. :dthumb:
Motorcycles going around the world, if you ride a motorcycle you will LOVE this.
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s2/pizdetss/longwayround2.jpg
A couple years ago, Ewan McGregor and his buddy who is also an actor documented taking two motorcycles all the way around the world, from London to New York - the long way round, through europe, russia and asia, alaska, all the way across america- everything basically. It is a thrilling documentary that you'll watch straight through.
They get robbed, exhausted, wrecked, broke down, hunt bears, stuck in the mud and wilderness, hang out with russian gangsters, eat horses balls and more, it's amazing and funny.
6 episodes, 350 megs each.
They just completed the sequel if you want to call it that, which they're calling The Long Way Down where they went through Africa. :yikes:

Easy Rider is THE motorcycling movie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easy_Rider). Peter Fonda. Dennis Hopper. Jack Nicholson. A cameo by Phil Spector!! Very 60's, lots of acid was consumed making the movie. Created the chopper craze that still grips America and the rest of the world. :dthumb:

I didn't see a part two video anywhere, I don't think the first one was very popular. The torrent site I got it from said it was a betamax to digital video to xvid.avi. That's oldschool.
Isle of Man is my favorite motorcycling event next to MotoGP. Absolute insanity. :dthumb:

Glad you enjoy it bud. Deff check out the isle of mann, even though you're not into racing you will just sit there shocked by it. They race on windy, bumpy city roads through a small village and surrounding mountains. :yikes: Its the oldest race on earth.
Get Isle of Man - The race that Time forget.avi it's a documentary about the event. Then get the 2007 races, you'll see how ungodly fast they're going lately.

Be careful my friend, the race is about a gig. Even the most dopey of network admins notices a gig being downloaded at full network speed. Most employees at any given office probably uses less than a gig every couple of days.
Just tell them that you had to download a 195759078324973 page microsoft word document in 20 font with lots of pictures for a client. :dthumb:

PiZdETS 08-26-2007, 03:45 AM Uploaded 12 issues of SuperBike magazine in pdf format. It's a high quality british sportbike magazine, you'll pay 10 bucks a pop at newstands as they're imported from the UK.
Nice entertaining, beefy reviews of bikes and products, tips on maintenance and riding, great pictures, lots of hooliganism. One of my favorite motorcycling mags. :dthumb:

I've been going through some crap and haven't had time for anything. Bikes still good, getting it dyno tuned pretty soon.
Now for teh bad news. good ol pg and his lovely girls bandwidth has gone through the roof, the host and all the files will be gone shortly, I'm not sure when. Get what you can and enjoy it.
I'm gonna contact someone else who offered webspace to see about hosting again but not for a while. This thread got 2,055 views and only 79 replies from people other than pg and myself. Not worth it.
If you need a source for motogp races just pm me, I have a 0 day source.
btw; a very special thanks to pg and tainted, I never expected this to be permanent and I'm glad some cool people got to enjoy some free crap. Good luck with your site(s) and everything. :thx2: :twfrox:
