http://www.buell.com/en_us/bikes_gear/cityx/ Gas Man 11-30-2004, 02:41 PM Buells suck! They are slow, wierd looking, small, and part of HD!! YUCK!!! hondaguy 11-30-2004, 04:41 PM I dont care for buell's much myself. I've never ridden a more doggish ride in my life. It's most definately an aquired taste, one that I dont have. Gas Man 11-30-2004, 04:49 PM Aquired taste like trying to aquire the taste for dog crap!! pickle.of.doom 11-30-2004, 07:39 PM I don't know Gas Man, friend of mine has one of the XB-9R's from a few years back, and she loves it. I've gotten to whip around the city a few times on it, and in traffic and stuff it was fun as hell! Would be a kick ass bike for a NYC commuter or something. Need4Speed 11-30-2004, 08:16 PM they are pimpin that cityx bike as a great commuter ride. bigger tires, comfortable seating, guards for the grips, easily mounted bags and accessories.. Gas Man 11-30-2004, 08:46 PM Nope not going to budge...I don't like em!!! My daddy told me if I was going to ride a MC, then ride a Jap bike, those Japs know how to make a nice MC!! JK_DILLA 12-03-2004, 10:30 AM Fuel in the frame, oil in the swingarm, theyre thinking in the right direction. Now if they only would apply all that creativity to the motor. I do think some XB9 turn signals would look just fine on my SV six-fiddy. twisty 12-03-2004, 11:21 AM The motor is the same design from the 50's. HD's needs to get their ***** togather. THE 50's!!! Its worse than i thought. Thats like honda putting a parallel twin in a CBR600RR. TL1000 12-16-2004, 01:27 PM The motor is the same design from the 50's. HD's needs to get their ***** togather.
no dout doood!!!! twisty 12-29-2004, 02:00 PM Plus they still are using steel frames.... Gas Man 12-29-2004, 09:45 PM Plus they still are using steel frames....
:puke: Buells
:yaewn: Wake me up when they catch up!!! :dupe: Captain Morgan 01-09-2005, 04:20 PM Buells suck! They are slow, wierd looking, small, and part of HD!! YUCK!!!
Have you ridden one? My step-brother just bought the XB12R Firebolt and I rode it around a little bit today. It's not quite as bad as you'd think. Granted, I didn't get to "ride" it like I would want because it's still in break-in period, but I will know more later in the year after I've had some seat time on it. I will say this. Riding the 12R is MUCH better than riding the 9S that he had last year. Riding position is much more aggressive than the S style, but we won't know anything for certain until he gets it on a track later this year. I'm reserving full opinion until then, but for now, it seems to be a decent bike. RATyson 02-07-2005, 09:37 PM Man.. i'm not feeling any love here...
I have an 05 Citycross. I got it in September, and I am loving it. It is really a fun bike. Granted it doesn't have the top end of the in line 4's, but it's got the low end torque that I like. And with the short wheelbase, it corners quite nicely.
And as was said before, most people either love em, or hate em.
I had an 87 GSXR 750 back when they were new, and yes I do love the jap bikes too. I was an idiot and sold it when I got transfered to Maine (navy). I still kick myself when I think about it.
I'm more of a Ducati fan, but I'm not quite at the financial cross-roads to own one just yet.
Also.. I'm new to the forum... Hello pickle.of.doom 02-08-2005, 11:21 AM Sweet rat, I would really like to get the chance to take a spin on the cityx. Looks like a riot! Gas Man 02-08-2005, 07:42 PM Man.. i'm not feeling any love here...

WELCOME MAN!!! Don't worry we don't have to like the Buell's... heck we don't like N4S, but his Kat is ok for a Kat and we don't rag on him...
Well, OK, we do rag on him but that's for being a :whore:
So we can like you just fine, even though you own a Buell.. RATyson 02-09-2005, 08:20 AM Hey Gas Man, thanks for the welcome.
I think I'll be ok, I have a pretty thick skin. A little counseling should get me through
Hey, at least I have uniqueness right!? I'm the only one in Huntsvegas with the City cross... and one of about 3 or 4 Buells in northeast Alabama.
