Since you're getting a slipon I assume none of your muffling/catalysts are located under the bike like they unfortunately are on mine? If they are, save your money. Regardless, that will look nice and be worth the wait.

Plus it sounds better and looks a whole lot better once I do the taillight mod. So it's worth it to me, if I ever get it that is.

Seal it up in a hermetically sealed non-see-through bag and ship it over there. They won't be able to smell it or see it until they open it. And when they do, TADA!!! PooP! Trips is right the extra $600 for the header aint worth unless you are gonna compete on the track where you'll really notice it. That's not the case on my bike. The slipon removes the exhaust valving system so the bike will have no backpressure at low rpms, i.e. less torque. In the higher revs no difference is really made because all the muffling and catalysts are still in place under the bike. It will look nice and have less performance. Waste of money. The can on the r6 is a glorified exhaust tip. I will wait until I have cash for the full guy. That's the one I'm getting later this month if things fall into place. Full system for only $1,000. But obviously, you didn't go that route... :flush: Well in the end after I got all the info I blame the vendor more than akrapovic, even though they are lazy SOBs. Here is what I found out last night. The last shipment of pipes that came in should of went to the drop ship customers first that have been waiting over a month or more, but instead got shipped to the more recent less than a week old stock orders. So basically all the old orders got skipped. I am pulling the plug on this vendor and purchasing it through another vendor.

I really like the looks of the akra CF ones. They are pure bada$$. I am with rider, I am not a fan of the stubbies. I like the taylormades on them, too bad they don't make one for the R6. I really don't like the loss of tail storage, but the undertail is nice to have the bike balanced. The stock pipe has to go though because it keeps my seat f***ing hot.

Best way to do it, no one wants to pay for those mods but they all seem to want you to keep em on it. So I made sure the person I sold it to, I didn't know and had never seen the bike in it's completed state. :lol: Will do the same to the RR if I sell it. The only thing that won't be reversible is the 03-06 taillight mod. I have to cut the battery tray. I could always buy a new one.

I showed them the Southern price and they flat out told me to go there then because they could sell them for over 10 easy. I said "later" and showed up with my bike a week or two later to get a part I needed and the dealer said "did you really get that price" and I said "yep." :lol:

...and I just checked. Southern Honda is $600 less than Honda East Toledo.

The other night an Aprilia RSV rode right in front of me. I just about shot one in my pants from the sound of thet VTwin. I do believe it was the stock cans on it too. That thing sounded effing sick. :dthumb: Those things are friggin HOT.

Raven here is better. The pics of the hondas don't do em justice. So they don't look as good as they actually are. The paint doesn't really pop like it does in person. Can't really see the flake at all.

Also mine has some cool pinstriping on the mid fairing and tank that I think look great. The pics of the hondas don't do em justice. So they don't look as good as they actually are. Except for when hot rodders put way too much flake in, and then it just looks tacky.

That looks sweet but it almost looks like the exhaust is covering part of the tailight. just barely if you are down low, not at all if you are up higher, I need to do a little work on the positioning of the pipe and the cowl fitting better because the tail sits higher now and the cowl doesnt fit right.
